Please help me to stop coming up with excuses of not going to church. It seems like every week, it is the same thing. Although, this church is not what I wanted out of my experience, it is a church and something that I must do. Help me to be an example to my children.

Please help me pray for FG, her husband and her child. She is a very hurtful person and she has done some very hurtful things to my family. I pray that the Lord will open up her heart and let her be able to not be so hateful.

Again, I would like to pray for the Grandmother who is taking care of her daughters children as her daughter is suffering from a brain tumor. Please give them all strength through this trying time.

Help me to stay strong Lord Jesus Christ.

AMEN

Hi, I read your request and it really spoke to me. Why? Because I recently left my church of 9 years, tried various churches over 4 months, and ended up coming back to my church. During this I noticed my two kids get to where they did not want to go to church.

You are right, we have to be an example for our kids! They need to be in church and that starts with a parent that goes to church. I am praying for you and your kids, that you will go to church and that it will be meaningful. May the Lord bless your efforts to attend church.

I am also praying for FG’s heart to change and blessings on the grandmother raising her grandkids.

Thank you for requesting prayer.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord, please inspire betra2000 to go to Mass each Sunday. If she has to, may she even go on Saturday evenings. Please just help her get to the Mass so she can feed her soul and let her children see how good and important it is to worship you each week. I pray for FG too. May her heart grow and may she begin to realize how hurtful she can be to others. May she see the hate within herself and offer it up to you for healing and give up all claim to it. I pray for the grandmother who is taking care of her children. May she be a light for them and a consolation. Grant that she can have a positive effect in the lives of her family. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Prayers for you.

Try not to think of Church as a chore - just picture Jesus there in the Tabernacle, waiting and wishing and hoping for you to pay Him a visit and spend time with you, and missing you sadly when you don’t go.

When I started thinking of it that way, I not only grew to enjoy Sunday Mass more, even those Masses where the music or other details aren’t to my taste, I also started going to Daily Mass, not every day but at least sometimes.

Praying with a phrase and Bible verses from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Let us exult in the Lord’s presence.

Mid-morning reading (Terce) Galatians 5:13-14 ©
My brothers, you were called, as you know, to liberty; but be careful, or this liberty will provide an opening for self-indulgence. Serve one another, rather, in works of love, since the whole of the Law is summarised in a single command: Love your neighbour as yourself.

Noon reading (Sext) Galatians 5:16-17 ©
Let me put it like this: if you are guided by the Spirit you will be in no danger of yielding to self-indulgence, since self-indulgence is the opposite of the Spirit, the Spirit is totally against such a thing, and it is precisely because the two are so opposed that you do not always carry out your good intentions.

Afternoon reading (None) Galatians 5:22,23,25 ©
What the Spirit brings is very different: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control. Since the Spirit is our life, let us be directed by the Spirit.

Father we pray for Betra and ask You would open her heart and mind to Your will.Bless her and her family that she will be guided by the Holy Spirit to raise her children according to Your will.May she be moved by the Holy Spirit to develop her faith that she will have the wisdom and yearning to praise You.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers Amen

Betra, I ask Jesus to help you overcome your inertia.I ask You Jesus to please lift Betra’s spirits and to help her become more positive.

Jesus, please bless her and her friends, and bring about forgiveness and reconciliation, healing the wounds that separate them.

Please give strength and courage to the grandmother who is grieving her daughter’s illness while also caring for her children.
