If there is any consolation here, I went through the same feelings. I would go to the 8am Mass every morning and I was the only person there under the age of 80. I felt out of place. But I kept going and as you mentioned, I focused more on why I was there, and what I got out of the Mass. It took a while, but I actually got to a point that I really missed not being there when work would force me to miss it. What you feel is not uncommon. Hang in there, you won’t regret it.
Also, I agree with the other responses, say Hi to the priest and other communicants. It is unusual for younger people to be there, so they are probably wondering what’s going on. They may not want to invest time getting to know you if you are only going to be there for a short time.
