We have a Parish Mission Retreat on March 8-11, and I’ve been asked to help write the prayer intentions. They should be based on the Gospel readings and the nights themes. Social Justice (Jn 9:1-41) - Private Prayer and Morality (Jn 11:1-45) - Mellowness of Heart (Mt 4:1-11) - Community (Jn 4:5-42)

Does anyone know if there is an online resource for prayer intentions?

You should always pray for the holy souls in purgatory, especially those most dear to you;

for the forgotten souls;

for those souls who have no one to pray for them;

for the sick and the dying, especially those who die today;

for the sins against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of His Mother Mary;

for the conversion of the world;

for an end to the abomination of legalized abortion;

for your family; and for yourself;

and obviously for the Holy Father, the Holy Catholic Church and bishops, priests, and religious all over the world.

If you are familiar with the Liturgy of the Hours you will see that each of the morning and evening prayers ends with a list of intercessions for the day. These run in four-week cycles plus special seasons and feast days. As you may guess, there is a great variety on them and many of them are beautiful and touching.

One online source where you can browse some of them and get some ideas is Universalis, which has an abreviated version of the breviary for every day. Here are the intercessions for today’s morning prayer and the link to Universalis:
