Hello,

I am a person who considers myself to be very lucky to be Catholic. I used to enjoy every fruits of the Catholic church and was full of love for Jesus. Jesus, in his merciful heart, has helped me immigrate to North America and to find my current job which I am truly grateful for. Everything was good until about 8 months ago, some desire came to my heart and I started to wish that this desire of mine comes true in reality. I have been attending mass daily (yes, including the weekday masses), been praying Chaplet of Divine Mercy, 54 day novena and all for the past 8 months. Despite my prayer, however, the situation doesn’t seem to be improving and it’s always status-quo. I even made God promise that if this desire of mine does come true, that I will try my best for my own sanctification, and that I will pray hard for the conversion of sinners and the souls in purgatory. But like I said the situation is not improving in my favour and now I am all sad and depressed just because of the thought that God will not make my wish come true. If God is gracious and merciful, he could have told me that it is not his will that my desire should come true earlier on so that I can give up on my dream more peacefully, but this desire has been growing in my mind steady and now this is all I think about throughout the day. And the very thought that my desire will not come in reality makes me literally go depressed. I tried to pray 5 decades of rosary today but I could not meditate on the mysteries like I used to. When I pray, I feel the coldness in my heart, coming from bitter disappointment. Now that I am experiencing this, my biggest fear is not only that my wish will not come true, but I am also starting to fear that I will be angry at God forever and thus unable to feel his love that he has for me. I am keep on praying but day after day I am losing my hope. People has been telling me that God will give me what I need, not necessarily what I want, but this hasn’t been help for me. My desire is so strong that if it does come true in future, I will be so grateful to God that I would do anything for him.

What should I do? I have no peace in me.😦

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need. God answers us in His time, not ours. Let Go & Let God.

I understand what you mean. It has happened to me and what I did is…I stopped asking!!! I changed my prayers to Thank you Lord for my family, Thank you Lord for my job… I replaced the Lord please give me this with Thank You’s…Sometimes we get tired of asking and seeing no results and it is OK to take a break in praying!!! You’re not alone but definitely continue PRAYING!!!

Glory Be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end AMEN.

Remember Jesus’ prayer “Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.” Know that God listens to your prayers however what you pray for may not always be what is best for you, he will always give you what is best for you. He knows what you need better than anyone. Im not saying you should stop praying for what you desire, on the contrary God wants us to come to him with all our hopes and desires, however always pray that his will be done first and foremost. Trust in his will. He doesn’t disappoint.

God Bless

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †
