leastofthese

Hello everyone, I would be very grateful to anyone who would be kind enough to remember me in their prayers. I just moved to a new town and have just transferred to a new college. On top of the usual anxiety that goes with such transitions I am also plagued with anxiety and depression in general. Also, my spiritual life has been under siege lately and I am finding the struggle very difficult. Tempations to sin have been harder to resist and I feel as if I am far away from God (though I know He is always with me). 😦

Normally I would turn to my priest and my spiritual director for help in a situation like this, but now that I am living on the opposite side of the state that’s not really an option. I have been praying to the Lord for strength and support as well as asking the Blessed Mother, Saint Joseph (my patron saint), and Saint Michael to pray for me.

Thank you in advance to anyone who remembers me in their prayers.

God Bless you!

i’m sure you can call or email your previous priest & spiritual director until you develop a relationship with the priest in your new town.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Lord, please help leastofthese in this time of anxiety. Comfort and console him or her, and hold him or her in the palm of Your hand. We know that You are with leastofthese at all times, whether it is felt or not, but please make Your presence felt to reassure him or her. Please strengthen leastofthese so he or she can withstand temptations to sin. Loving Father, please bless leastofthese with a new spiritual director in the new town, and help leastofthese to develop a relationship with the new Pastor as well. I ask this through the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia, the patron saint against loneliness, and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen.

I just moved to a new parish for school, as well. I will pray for you!

Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur Nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo.

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum.

Amen.

Thank you everyone for your kind words of advice and your prayers. Email is definitely an option if I feel like I really need to get in touch with my priest and/or my spiritual director from my old parish, but it just can’t replace those wonderful face to face chats. The priest at my new parish seems kindly enough, so I’m hopeful to develop a good bond with him in time. I should be used to transferring and moving by now (I’ve been to a few different schools and never lived in one place for more than 3 years) but for some reason I’m having a hard time with this particular move. But God does not give us more than we can handle.

Thanks again for your prayers.

Father
