It would help the mods a great deal if everyone would post in the correct sub forum. Please read this list of Good Subjects for TC Threads.

It’s not comprehensive, but it gives a good idea of where things belong. I really appreciate your voluntary cooperation with this.

Thank you in advance.

Greetings Thomas Casey,

Are there similiar pages to the other sub forums that give an idea of what to post in the sub forums? It might be helpful to make such pages for the other forums.

I know that the Moderators times are busy and all, but I just thought to pass this suggestion on.

God Bless.

Thomas, it might help to have a religious chit-chat column that would catch those less serious topics. The only other option we seem to have is the Back Fence and I would not think to look there for many of these topics.

What causes threads to be closed, besides uncharitable arguments?

Are you not part of the forum admin?
Moderators are generally not considered Administrators on forums. Administrators determine policy and often engage in setting up sections, etc, including possible mod duties. Moderators merely enforce what the administrators put down, with possible flexibility in rules and adding to, but not taking away.

Think of an Administrator like a Mafioso Don and a Moderator like, well, an enforcer for said Don. 🙂

Ah, didn’t understand that.

What causes threads to be closed, besides uncharitable arguments?
  • Thread derails beyond recognition
  • The question is answered
  • Thread is a duplicate of another that is running someplace else
  • Agenda posting
  • Misrepresentation of Church teachings, laws or statements
  • Disrespect toward any form of the mass, clergy, religious, Vatican II or the Holy Father
  • Proselytizing for any group that is not in full communion with the Holy See
  • Banned topics
Just to name a few. If you have more questions, please do not post them here, as I may not see them. Send me a PM. Thanks.

This is great, Mr. Casey, thank you. There are certainly a lot of threads in the Traditional Catholicism forum that are better suited for Liturgy and Sacraments or Apologetics.

Please post in the correct forum. You will get better answers to your question, if you ask the right audience.

Thank You

There has ben an awful lot of really peculiar postings showing up lately.
