“Father, you do not protect us against catastrophes but in them you come to our aid. It is in the very midst of the tempest and misfortune that a wonderful zone of peace, serenity and joy bursts in us if we dwell in your grace. You do not help us before we have helped ourselves, but when we are at the end of our resources you manifest yourself, and we begin to know that you have been there all the time.”
-Louis Everly

Remember, O most loving virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto you, O virgin of virgins, our mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me.

Lord, continue to bless this family and draw them closer to one another. Shower them with Your peace and lead them to Your will for them. I offer these prayers for the mother of Anathama Sit, his father and the rest of this family through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

News from A.S.:

**"Thank you … for praying for my mother and my family.

I’ve got great news. My mother is out of her coma. She is a bit groggy and disoriented. She however thanked the Medical Staff for the Masses that thay played on EWTN. She heard every single one of them. She is still in ICU and healing. Please continue to pray for her continued recovery."**

We praise and thank You Lord, for the grace of her recovery. Please help her to regain her heath, and Lord, may the witness of A.S. faith, in the face of some concerned opinions, inspire his family and others to greater faith and trust in You.

A.S writes: “I am very thankful for the work that God has done in our lives. It has been a roller coaster for all of us. Some of the family is finally coming off of stress and anxiety. Mom is alert and talking. They are keeping her in ICU longer, but that’s okay… I can’t tell you how much it means to me to be talking to my Mother again…
Please share this with CAF…”

A.S. adds that his mother thanks each of you here at CAF who have prayed for her and prayed for and supported her son.
And he profoundly thanks each of you. Above all he is immensely grateful to God.
It had seemed so unhopeful, but after prayer and continuing faith and resolve, and hospital rest and care, his mother is recovering.
May God continue to bless A.S., his mother, his father, and all his family

** A Trinity Prayer**

Love of Jesus Fill us.
Holy Spirit Guide us.
Will of the Father be done.

Christ Candle of Hope Prayer

God, our loving Father, you sent your Son,
Jesus Christ, into this world to counter
all the forces of evil: sin, suffering and death,
and to overcome evil with the force of good;
hatred with the power of love,
your great love for us in Jesus.

Help us never to curse the darkness,
but to join with you in bringing
Your light into this world,
the light that is your Son,
born of the Virgin Mary, in Bethlehem.
Helps us to be instruments of your light
and love by doing one special act of kindness
or by being your special instrument
of reconciliation this New Year.

May the Christ Candle we light symbolize
our desire to bring light into a world of darkness
and hope into a world of despair.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.***

Thanksgiving Prayers

For Appreciation of Each Other

We thank you, Father,
for the gift of Jesus your Son who came to our earth and lived in a simple home.
We have a greater appreciation of the value and dignity of the human family
because he loved and was loved within its shelter.
Bless us this day; may we grow in love for each other in our family
and so give thanks to you who are the maker of all human families
and our abiding peace.
AMEN

In Gratitude
***Thank you, Father,
for having created us and given us to each other in the human family.
Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows,
for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness.
Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives.
Thank you for friends, for health and for grace.
May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.
AMEN
