I find myself more and more wrapped in fear and temptations, and even falling to those temptations, to the point of, uhm, I guess activity paralysis. It may be a psychological problem, I don’t know, and I will try to go to a psychiatrist soon, but for now, please, please, I need prayers for fortitude, guidance, and strength.

In addition to feeling for you, my first actual thought was, are you doing enough for others…on the other hand you might be wearing yourself out by doing too much.
I always immediately think of Jesus’ command to love others as self, and His description of the last judgement where He clearly shows that His judgement of souls depends on whether or not they have lived in practical kindness to others, which He regards as kindness to Himself. Matthew 25 verses 31-46 When everything else fall apart, this remains the core of everything…so my mind always goes there when our lives go into disorder.

Loving God You alone know the hurts, scars and burdens that our suffering nuntym is enduring.
You know if this dear person has been badly buffeted by experiences,
is overworked and stressed, or lonely and bored, or any other thing.
Please comfort, heal, strengthen and guide nuntym

**Holy Spirit, I need wisdom, discernment and unconditional love. Will You share Yours with me? Help me to persevere in these necessary virtues, even where there is wounding within me greater than anyone is aware.

Help me to carry my daily responsibilities with faith and hope, and mindful of Your command to love God above all and others as self, in Sacramental worship and with practical acts of kindness.

Help me to find healing for injuries and scars that prevent me from fully becoming the person I am created to be. Come into my mind and soul, and help me through the rest of my life.

I need You, Holy Spirit. Please access the gifts and beauty of my unique creation in God’s image. For others’ benefit and for Your glory, give me a deep appreciation and use of the goodness, loveliness joy and blessing of this creation that You mean me to be**.

  • Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
    deliver us from evil.
    Amen
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy protection,
implored Thy help or sought Thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother;
to Thee do I come, before thee I kneel, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in Thy clemency, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Our God, please give the fortitude, guidance, and strength, and the freedom from fear an sin that nuntym longs for. Please give Your gentle comfort and healing to nuntym.

Loving God please give “This…is what I pray before the Father from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name: Out of His infinite glory, may He give you the power through His Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth; until, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God.”

“Glory be to Him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to Him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.” [Ephesians 3: 14-21]

Trishie, it was your first post here that gave me light on where to start to look for the reasons for my problems. Meditating on my actions and motives for those actions for the past few weeks, I realized that I was getting too self centered, and not enough loving of others. And even when I do things for others, it was always with a note of irritation, and/or with a feeling of pride (“They need help because they need me…Gee, I’m so smart/strong/whatever”).

Thank you Trishie for being sensitive enough for the Holy Spirit to tell me through you where to start looking for answers 🙂

However, even when I knew where to look for answers, I still needed (and I still need now) the grace to overcome my weaknesses, and for the past couple of days I felt and used that strength I needed, and I am fully convinced it was because of everyone’s prayers here.

Thank you all for your prayers, and please keep them coming. I am praying for you all in gratitude.
