Do you mean he is working on his marriage or working at destroying his marriage?
Note:* Marriage is for life, once we marry someone, we become one with them, and what God has joined together, none should separate, thus there is no such thing as divorce, the only way you can marry this man is if the Church finds that his current marriage was not a ‘valid’ marriage, in which instance, if there was no marriage than there was no divorce and thus he is free to marry. Any woman who marries a divorced man commits adultery.*
Lets hypothetically assume you do marry this man and lets imagine latter down the track in your marriage, he becomes infatuated with another woman and now wants to divorce you in order to marry her, and suppose this new woman comes on here and says exactly what you have said, what advice do you think we should give her?
Remember in the Ten Commandments, number 9 is** “You Shall Not Desire Your Neighbors Wife/Husband”**
CA: Did Jesus Allow Divorce?
I would also like to end by saying that Our Lord Jesus Christ is full of love and mercy and is always waiting to forgive the repentant sinner, but remember that if this man is validly married that he is off limits, and should his wife cry to God over the loss of her husband, He will listen to her.
I will pray for you.
God Bless
