The situation in Egypt is currently in turmoil. Let us gather to pray for peace in Egypt, as supporters of Morsi are threatening to terrorize the country if he is stripped out of his presidency. Let us pray for ALL victims of this violence especially Coptic Christians who are constantly targeted.
Also, I ask, to please pray for all innocent victims of terrorism in the Middle East especially the Christians in Syria and Iraq!
Prince of Peace, King of all the kings and giver of life, I pray for peace everywhere in the world, so that these innocent victims of war and hatred are placed in your most sacred heart. Most loving Jesus, I trust in your infinite ocean of mercy, and trust that those who cause such violence are subjected to your most abundant rays of mercy.
“Sweet Jesus, Grant that I have rest in You above anything else. Above all creation, above all Your angels, Above all praise, above all rejoicing and happiness, Above all glory and honor, above all heavenly hosts, For You alone are the Most High. You alone are the Almighty and Good above all things. May You come to me and relieve me And release my chains and grant me freedom, Because without You my joy is not complete, Without You my table is empty. Only then will I come to say: here I am, because you have invited Me. God saves me, Jesus enlightens me, The Holy Spirit is my life. Thus, I am not afraid.”
Lord, God of peace, who has created man, the object of your kindness, to be close to you in glory, we bless you and we thank you because you have sent us your beloved son, Jesus, making him the mystery of the pasch, the architect of all salvation, the source of all peace, the bond of true brotherhood. We thank you for the desire, the efforts, the realizations which your spirit of peace has roused in our day: to replace hatred with love, diffidence with understanding, unconcern with care. Open yet more our hearts to the needs of all our brothers and sisters, so that we may be better able to build a true peace. Remember, Father of mercy, all who are in pain, who suffer and die in the cause of a more brotherly world. For the men of every race, of every tongue - may your kingdom come: your kingdom of justice, of peace, of love; and may the earth be filled with your glory.
Amen.
Eternal Father in whom mercy is endless and compassion inexhaustible. Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, so that in difficult times we might not despair not become despondent but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy in itself
