we got one of those payday loans to cover most of the utilities that were ready to cut us off. They based the amount on what Lee is SUPPOSED to make next paycheck, so pray that that happens–he only taught two days last month and we owed Federal Taxes so that is why we were so short. Anyway, that gives us two weeks to try to come up with a solution, BUT for Feb and March our electric bill has more than doubled (and I don’t know why except that energy is going up) and we have been paying half the bill every month which makes us only one month partially behind except we could not afford to pay half last time and now we got a cut off notice for the 13th if we don’t pay the entire amount! I paid half and I am going to Christian Ministries tomrrow morning to see if they will pay the other half for me-----please please pray for me!
The Christian Ministries is a horrible place and I get sick everytime I have to go there (twice last year). It stinks and it is filthy and crowded and without being too judgemental, let’s just say most of the people there are discussing how they can rip off the welfare system rather than get a job. There are sick and dirty children running all over the place and it is very depressing. The last time I felt as if I was going to have a seizure and had to let someone who worked there know just in case I did, they took me early but it made everyone else grumble and I was afraid I would not get out of there in one piece.
It is like a prison atmosphere. I purposely ask Lee not to go in with me because I am afraid for our safety and he is so imposing and scary looking it would call attention to us (they lock you in and the last time he stuck his head in the door to see if I was still waiting and people thot he was a cop). I will ask for food tomorrow too because I have two more weeks to go before Lee gets paid again, but they usually do not give you anything very good. Lots of day-old pastry and boxes of cheap macaroni and cheese with no milk, not exactly the healthiest diet especially for a diabetic.
Anyway I do not want to complain about it, I just want you to understand the difficulty I will have tomorrow and to ask for lots of prayers. I would take my rosary but again I do not want to call attention to myself, and in that crowd it would.
