I have been very irresponsible and failed in my christian duty.

I’m afraid I have especially failed in my dealings with one person in particular who trusted me to perform christian duty which I did not.

now that person and people in general are laughing at me and treating me like I’m totally irresponsible and not wanting to spend their time with me or taking me seriously.

This results in me being lonely and frustrated. Which is not fun.

I want to succeed in this christian duty now. I want to have another chance and do it properly. I want to go back to being cherished and respected and having people want to spend their time with me. I want to be esteemed, loved and trusted as the mature, sensible, responsible person that I am able to be.

You seem somewhat vague about what duty you have neglected and why your friends would resent and ostracize you. True friends are patient and loving and do not judge.

Give them time and continue to love them.

You will be in my prayers.

I think most of us fail in our christian duty at some point in our christian lives.

I shall pray for you!

Lord Jesus Christ, please support your servant who believe that they have failed in their duty to you.
Please may they have other chances to show that they can indeed do your wonderful work.

Praying that you find your sole comfort in the Lord and not in the esteem, respect, love of others. May you depend solely on God’s approval and not on the approval of others. May your friends come around and may you have another opportunity to perform the Christian duty you speak of. Amen.

Prayed for you remindsme…

Lord Jesus Christ, take all my freedom,
my memory, my understanding, and my will.
All that I have and cherish You have given me.
I surrender it all to be guided by Your will.
Your love and Your grace are wealth enough for me.
Give me these, Lord Jesus,
I ask for nothing more.

You should try to have a relationship with God through Christ first and everything else is sure to follow. Wanting the esteem of others is your ego speaking to you.
