Dear friends

Of your charity please include in your nightly prayers, prayers for all those that are to die that night. The Divine Mercy chaplet would be preferable and particularly efficacious given Our Lord’s promises attached to that prayer.

Please help those who cannot help themselves, those whose only hope of avoiding hell may rest on your prayers.

You will find out one day just how many souls you have aided. And as you have greatly helped them by your prayers, they in turn will, in their gratitude, help you.

Will you pray for those who are dying far from God? Will you beg God’s Mercy for some poor soul who never prayed for themselves or gave no thought to their salvation? Will you help Jesus to save those souls who for want of a short prayer would otherwise be lost?

Will you do this work of Mercy for no reward save that of the love of Jesus who longs for us to cooperate with Him?

Thank you and may God bless you:)

I think this is a fabulous idea! I’ll join you and get into the habit of making special mention for these souls, while offering up a prayer for them!

Tawny and Joelle m, thank you so much. I am so grateful.

May God richly bless you both.🙂

I’ve never prayed the rosary before, but since I just got one, I think this will be an excellent way to get me to do so. Great idea!

The rosary is such a powerful weapon! I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me! Consider joining the rosary confraternity- you can find info online:)

I’ll take a look! Thanks for telling me about it!

Just a tip: It can be tough focusing on the meditations in the beginning… but it gets easier with practice! In no time at all you’ll be looking forward to your daily rosary, I promise:)

You may already have something like this- but I found this very helpful when I started. It gives you meditations for each hail mary. I still follow them to this day- although for the most part I can remember most of them on my own. It’s taught me so much about Jesus’ life and it opened up a well inside of me that could only be filled by prayer.

There’s a link on the website for the confraternity too:)

Hi Thom18. The sorrowful mysteries in which you contemplate and unite yourself to our Lord’s Passion is most excellent. Before you commence tell Jesus you desire to compassionate, comfort, console and sympathise with Him in His sufferings. Ask Him to grant you His light.

May God bless you. The Rosary is truly a treasure. Ask Our Lady to take you and enfold you under Her holy mantle. The Rosary and the Scapular are powerful.👍

This is how you know you’ve been a bad Catholic: You’re halfway through the Hail Mary and you start praying the Our Father 🤷 Don’t ask how that happens.

LoL! It happens to me too from time to time. When you notice just collect your wits and continue on:)

Everlasting Father, for the sake of the love which Thou didst bear to St. Joseph, whom Thou didst chose above all to occupy Thy place on earth, Have mercy on us and on those who are dying.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father.

Everlasting Son of God, for the sake of Thy love towards St. Joseph, who didst protect Thee so faithfully on earth, have mercy on us all and on those who are dying.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father.

Everlasting Divine Spirit, for the sake of Thy love toward St. Joseph, who so carefully protected Mary, Thy most holy and beloved spouse, have mercy on us and those who are dying.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father.

Amen.

Praying…

Eternal rest grant onto them o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Okay, I’m getting a little better and a little worse. Tonight I managed to memorize every prayer (except I had to quickly reference “Hail, Holy Queen”) but forgot to include my intentions. I also began losing focus at the fourth mystery. I have nothing to do tomorrow, so I’d better get everything together then.

It’s normal to lose focus here and there, it’s impossible to expect a person to never have their thoughts wander while meditating during a rosary… but the beauty of it is they still count. Just re focus when you’ve realized it and try again. Our Lady is receiving your prayers and polishing them up, she’s perfecting them and presenting them to her son for you so don’t worry, perfection is never a requirement- the effort is what counts.

I sometimes forget my intensions and list them off willy nilly when I realize my blunder. But it’s silly in a way, isn’t it? Since HE knows our intensions better than we do.

Glad to see you’re still at it!

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen. †

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen. †

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our defense against the wickedness and snares
of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other
evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen. †

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen. †

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †
