Please pray for a Catholic community

I am involved in a very good Catholic young adult community. Overall there are many solid, faith-filled folks who could be counted in it, and there is always something spiritual or social going on to keep us all in Christ and growing.

Unfortunately, something’s happened recently which at least for the time being seems to be threatening the cohesiveness of at least one subset of the community. A new individual has come in and has started to, for lack of a better term, bother folks of the opposite sex, as well as to become upset with them when they do not go along with it, at which point the individual seems to have begun to discuss it with members the individual’s sex, leading some of them towards negative feelings towards the opposite sex.

It seems to be quite a volatile situation at present, which is really quite sad because until this point it was a very positive experience for all involved. While any situations currently going on may resolve, I’m very worried about future situations and the dynamic of the community going forward.

At the same time, I am concerned for this individual, as - whatever flaws may be found or whatever trouble may be caused by this person - the individual is still a human being who deserves love and respect, and indeed, it’s entirely possible that the entire source of the problems is simply the person’s striving to find friendships. Everybody needs to have friendships which demonstrate the love of God.

I’d therefore ask prayers for these two intentions:

First, that the cohesiveness of our group can be healed and grow, with and injuries repaired and any misunderstandings corrected.

Second, that the individual I mentioned is able to grow in love of God and in fact to be loved, and that these situations can resolve in a way which is not simply beneficial to the overall group, but to this person as well.

Dearest Lord,

I pray that You will help the individual struggling with this need for attention by the opposite sex to start realizing that one must draw close to You and feel that gap which may possibly be causing this person to look for other ways to fill emptiness that seems to be lacking. Lord help this person.

Lord Jesus, Also I pray that this community see the need to reach out to this person in a genuine and loving way. Second that this community try to be patient, and third that this community realize a need for wisdom if this person continues even after all attempts to handle the situation that might be needed to help correct this person’s destructivenss if this person conutinues to play havoc without caution to Our Lord. I pray that the community has a Priest that will guide this community in the best possible action for the individual and community.

I do pray mostly for this child of your’s joy in a strong and loving relationship with You.
