Please pray for a friend I let move in and taking advantage of me

I have nothing against gay people except the coupling and partnering/marriage. Love the man hate the sin. My friend whom I let stay with me is taking advantage of me. (He moved my brother’s things out of my brother’s trailer and was well compensated.) Yet, he doesn’t understand that since he has done that he shouldn’t disrespect me that way. He is sleeping in my bedroom and I’m on the couch. He is also very mean to my cats.

Now he is bringing strange men he meets online into my home and two have stolen from him and me. We’ve had flared arguments and my house used to be peaceful. I know he is doing drugs and drinking and I don’t like it.

I have stuff all over and can barely walk in once was a roomy place.

His next thing is to empty his storage and bring all of it into my home. MY spare bedroom is filled to the gills and my master has all my stuff in it. If he brings his things, where will my stuff go?

Now, he takes me to the store and is paying half the rent. But nothing else. He spends his money on food, but, buys so much, it’s going to waste. He has a lot of addictions and I see them. Food addictions. Sexual addictions. Controlling and place the victim.

My friend of thirty years has become a person I don’t know.

If I didn’t need his money for rent or car, I would tell him to leave today.

NOTE: WE DON’T HAVE ANY AGENCIES HERE IN TEXAS AND WHERE I LIVE THAT CAN HELP. THEY ARE DEPLETED. YOU CAN GO TO A DIFFERENT STATE AND GET ALL THE HELP YOU NEED. INCLUDING DOCTORS, MEDICINE, HELP IN HEALTH PROBLEMS , HOUSING…BUT NOT HERE. DID RESEARCH WHICH I USED TO DO FOR THE STATE AND WAS A DIRECTOR OF A MENTAL FACILITY AND KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE.

I don’t mean to write in caps. Sometimes when members respond, they suggest agencies. And I know you are only trying to help and I love you for it. But in Texas, there is no money. Love you.

You should have never let him live with you and now that he has taken over it may be too late to ask him to leave.

I can get the landlord to evict him since I only pay rent and he’s not on the lease.

Still, I never thought my good friend was this way. He has a lot of addictions that I can’t live with. I want to help him but I don’t think I’m the person to do it being friends and all. He needs a lot of counseling.

Oh, the Landlord let him move in thinking he could help me and because he became homeless with the floods in Texas. But instead, it’s turned into a horrible existence for me…being disabled also.

You have no obligation to help him to the detriment of your own life. Honestly, from the sound of it, he’s not really you’re friend. A friend wouldn’t treat you like this.

Get the landlord to kick him and and wash your hands of him.

I know that sounds cruel, but you’ve done more than enough to try to help your “friend” and he’s done nothing but take advantage of you. You owe him nothing. If he’s bringing strange men into your house then he has officially become not only an annoyance, but a danger to you.

YOU NEED TO GET THIS PERSON OUT OF YOUR HOUSE, AND OUT OF YOUR LIFE UNTIL HE HAS GOTTEN HIS OWN LIFE IN ORDER. YOU ARE PUTTING YOURSELF IN DANGER THROUGH ALLOWING HIM TO CONTINUE WITH HIS CURRENT BEHAVIOR IN YOUR HOUSE.
 
Yes, he needs to move out. Or you need to move out.

If you must have company, get a big dog, and train it correctly, or have professional dog trainers (real ones that you pay; not friends of a friend) train it with you.

A dog will make less of a mess than a room mate, and it will be loyal to you.
 
I know you from years ago when you were a member of my page. I had to delete you at that time for reasons I will not go into on a public forum. In a sense I feel for you, but in another sense I continue to be guarded of you because I don’t know if you are somewhat of a scammer or not. This I know; You can have your guest evicted. I don’t know if my deductions are correct or not, but if I am wrong I apologize. I pray that all things work out well for you according to God’s plan.

Put up adverts for another lodger or tenant instead of him.
Give him his months notice.

Tell him you are giving him a months notice and are getting a different tenant instead.
When the month is up, if he will not leave, call the police?

Better do all of this with a legal, written contract.
