I received this email from a friend–Please pray for Katie!

*Please pray for my 11 year old Grand Niece, Katie McBride, who is fighting for her life.

Katie was diagnosed with Burkett’s Lymphoma and Leukemia on June 18, 2007. She has been in Schneider’s Children’s Hospital in Long Island, New York since October 15. 2007. She was being treated with chemotherapy and radiation at the hospital. In December 2007 her 16 year old Brother Michael was found to be compatible with Katie and preparation was begun for a bone marrow transplant. The bone marrow transplant occurred on January 2, 2008. After several weeks of isolation in a germ free environment, Katie’s blood counts and other factors appeared to be improving around January 23, 2008. However, on February 8, 2008 Katie’s condition started to deteriorate and it appeared that the bone marrow transplant didn’t work. Katie’s Family was called to the hospital to be with her. Everyone is not giving up and are Praying that the bone marrow transplant will start to take effect.

PLEASE PRAY FOR KATIE”S RECOVERY.

The Family provided the following website for Katie so that you can follow her progress.

ALMIGHTY and Eternal God, you love all your children. We ask your blessings upon Katie. Please shower her with all the graces needed for a speedy recovery. Bring her and her family comfort and peace.
I ask this in Jesus’s name. Amen!

Oh my…praying to Our Lord for Katie right now and asking Mother Mary for her intercession…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Her family asks that as many people as possible say a rosary for Katie (or even
a prayer) this Sunday (February 24th) between 7 and 8 pm in the belief
that so many voices raised in prayer at the same time for the same cause can
bring about a miracle.
