Please pray for a lonely and depressed soul

There is someone who needs urgent prayers…please pray for this person, who is suffering mentally with depression and suicidal thoughts.

May you show your face to this person and be with them
that they would see your light in their life. Help them to
take stock of the many blessings you have given them.
Holy Spirit cry out to them through their conscience that they
would see the wrong in suicide. And that they would see Your love
in their life through their family and friends. I pray that this
person would be granted peace from the suffering that they
are going through. And protect them from every evil and
snare of the devil that they would hear only sound council
that is rooted in the Truth of God.

I don’t think praying for a depressed person to see the “wrong” in suicide is very good psychological politics. They are probably thinking how “wrong” they are in everything at the moment, and dwelling on their “error” in wishing to kill themselves can compound the problem. Try praying for them in the positive - like seeing the LOVE… like you mentioned… and dropping the guilt trips.
 
May our Lord pour his healing love into your friend’s heart and grant her deep healing. May she find help from a spiritual director and a good Catholic doctor. May she know the Lord’s love and cry out to Him for help. May she cling to Him, the Rock; and be at peace. Amen.

O humble Lord, you came to heal our wounded hearts and to instill your mystical presence within us. Yet there are many today that are weighed down by the burdens of this world, who feel abandoned and rejected. We offer you Lord our prayers for the sake of this person and all who suffer such pains and have nobody to pray for them. We trust that you do accept our prayers and grant what we ask of you, especially when it be for the good and welfare of our brethren. Heal the wounds that this person is suffering from and grant that the light of your face may shine in his/her heart, so that in all moments of sadness, loneliness and when all hope is lost, the joy of your presence may enlighten their hearts. Amen.
