Please pray for a murdered friend

I just got word that a man I know, who was in his 40s with a wife and family, stepped outside his urban workplace the other night to call his wife and was suddenly out of the blue shot dead right there on the street. Police are investigating.

Please pray for the repose of J’s soul, for his family and friends during this difficult time, and that the police catch the killer and justice is done.

Lord, J. is gone now from this earthly dwelling,
and has left behind his wife and many others who mourn his absence.
Grant that we may hold his memory dear,
never bitter for what we have lost
nor in regret for the past,
but always in hope of the eternal Kingdom
where you will bring us together again.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

May the Lord guide the police who are still seeking the perpetrators of J’s murder, and quickly bring those responsible to justice tempered with mercy, especially if they are juveniles as is being reported. In Jesus’ Name I humbly pray. Amen.

Praying for all your intentions but particularly for the repose of J’s soul – may he rest in peace in the glorious presence of God – and for the consolation and care of his family.

And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

and please bring comfort and support to his bereaved family.
Mother Mary we ask your loving intercession for J’s soul
and for his wife and family in their temporal, emotional and spiritual matters.
