I’m outa here, 7 elect and 3 for full communion will be in retreat this morning, please pray for them, and for their catechists and sponsors. then we will be filling the cattle trough with nice cold water and hope it reaches room temperature by 8 oclock tonight.

I remember this day well. One year ago it was ME being received. :bowdown2: :love:

As I am now ON the RCIA team, I get to experience this Greatest and Holiest of days with my head closer to earth, (last year I was floating :yup: )

YES!!!,many prayers will be said for our soon to be Neophytes (a term I am happy to be shed of…does that make me just another average-run of the mill-regular ole Catholic? :whacky: )

Alterum,May Gods love shine brightly on Hermione, and as a RCIA team member, we not only pray for those who go through our own parish program, but we pray for ALL who will be entering our most beautiful church this vigil. My prayers are with you and your SweetHeart this evening.

Including my fiancee, Hermione! It’s such a wonderful day http://forum.catholic.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I will especially pray for your fiancee as he (or she) is received into Holy Mother Church! Sorry, I’m not familiar with the name Hermione.

It is a wonderful day! Christ is risen! Alleluia!

Peace

As a candidate receiving on April 3rd, I welcome your prayers and share your prayers for the glorious experience of tonight.

As a soon to be neophyte, this has been a very tough week which I was not spirtually ready for.

Many tears and tough prayer as an RCIA group and personally. For a few days the thought of the “Last Supper” truly being the “Last Supper” while we watched the stripping of the Altar and the dark church feels EXACTLY like a wake or funeral for a beloved relative and to be honest in many ways tougher.

I cannot properly anticipate the Joy of Sunday while I am in the mourning of the present but I remain in prayer for Christ and all of those entering our wonderful faith.

May God never allow me to grieve or suffer less, than I have this year for the last 40 days or so. I think it is very necessary.

God’s Grace be with you on this special day

Thank you.

I will have something further to post after tonight’s Mass.

**That’s wonderful! **
**And two years ago, it was me! 😃 :bowdown2: :amen: **

I got to hear the Easter Vigil Service that took place in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome… Wow. Chokes me up big time.

Peace, Prayers, and Blessings for now unto eternity!

Hi all!

I was received into the Church last night at the Easter Vigil. It was an amazing, awesome service and I am so happy that I can now be called Catholic!

I wasn’t baptized, but I really felt like I was. When the Father’s were “sprinkling” the faithful with the baptismal water, I got soaked!

My confirmation was very special. My first communion was awesome! I am now Catholic and next year I AM GOING to sponsor someone new into my new and wonderful faith!

It was amazing! I was baptized, confirmed and received the Eucharist for the first time. I’m still buzzing from the whole experience. I could hardly sleep last night after we got home. I just feel so energized. Words cannot express!:amen:

God Bless you both!

That is so wonderful!!!

Peace, Prayers, and Blessings!

I also was received into Holy Mother Church last night. I converted from being a Mennonite, so I was not baptized (but instead was received into the Church, confirmed, and given the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist). What an amazing, blessed, and holy experience. To be sealed with the Heavenly Counselor! To be given Jesus himself as the Bread of Life! To have my throat sting with the burning of his Most Precious Blood! It’s too much to take in!

To you, O LORD , I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:

"What gain is there in my destruction,

in my going down into the pit?

Will the dust praise you?

Will it proclaim your faithfulness?

Hear, O LORD , and be merciful to me;

O LORD , be my help."

You turned my wailing into dancing;

you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,

that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.

O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

(Psalm 30:8-12, NIV)

And here’s something else to praise God for. Even as a very young person (just turned 22), I struggle with my own mortality. Last night, after the Easter Vigil when I was lying on my bed the frightening thought of my own death came to me, but then the thought came to me, “The Eucharist is the pledge of eternal life. What is even death to me if I shall live forever!!! The Almighty and Ever Living God has been within me! Yes, I shall die, but by Christ in the Eucharist I shall live forever!” What a consoling thought. What a great and holy Sacrament!

Thank you all for your prayers. One of those people that you prayed for was me!

What a night. After I was confirmed I felt such peace and joy – the grace of God through the sacraments was truly evident. Receiving Christ in the Eucharist was the best experience of my life. I wanted to go up again for more of Him! Words cannot express how wonderful it is to be so intimately united with my beloved Jesus. :love: I want to go to mass now as much as possible, and I have an increased desire to avoid sin so that I may embrace Christ.

God bless you all.
