Please Pray for Anita, who had a Stroke yesterday

Brothers & Sisters:

My friend Diane just received a phone call from her Brother-in-Law John, the 50 year-old son of Anita (who’s in her 70’s) who had a moderate to severe stroke yesterday afternoon at 5 pm. Her husband, Dan saw what was happening & called local EMT’s he knew before the stroke had progressed very far.

The EMT’s who answered the call first measured the top number of Anita’s BP at 260 thought their machine was broken. It wasn’t. Although Anita seems be fairly lucid and to have most of her speech, she does seem to have lost some of her memories and abilitiy to recognize her surroundings.

I don’t know anything beyond that as I’m hearing all of the details 3rd hand.

Please pray that God would:
Bring Anita to a full recovery and to a full knowledge of Himself;
John and Dan (who are both sceptics and Agnostics/Atheists) to a knowledge of Himself through this healing;
Diane to a knowledge of Himself;
and that all of them would come to New Life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That might be a tall order, but please remember that, in the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles, Healings and Miracles were always “Signs” to point to the Divinity of our Lord Jesus, to cause people to repent and follow our Lord Jesus and to bring glory to God.

This may be a tall order for you or I, Michael, but not for God, creator of Heaven and Earth!

Lord, watch over Anita, John, Dan and Diane. Show them your eternal love and mercy, and guide them to you, fill their hearts with your love, so that they may follow you and praise your Glory.

Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Anita, who, it turns out, is 78.

An update as of tonight on Anita’s condition. Her condition has worsened - Her doctors have been unable to stabilize her blood pressure for most of this past month. and, Anita has had at least one seizure tonight forcing her family to call the EMT’s, who first had difficult finding a steady pulse and then had found that her BP was very low.

Please pray for her - That she recover and that the Lord, the Divine Healer, stop her seizures, stabilize her BP and heart rate and heal her brain. Alos pray that she and her family (esp. her atheist son) recognize the healing hand of God and turn to the Lord and accept Him and His Church.

Please bring about these things according to Your grace and time. Thank You who love each of us more than we can imagine. Help each of us, including Anita, John, Dan, and Diane, to respond to Your grace and love.
