Please pray with me for the repose of the soul of Bishop Thomas Tschoepe, former bishop of Dallas who passed away today.

I heard this on the news a half hour ago but haven’t been able to find any news links yet. He was born 12/17/15, ordained to the priesthood 5/30/43. He was ordained as Bishop of San Angelo in 1966 and installed as Bishop of Dallas in 1969. After his retirement in 1990, he served at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas.

I ask the Lord to flood his soul with His merciful love.
And I ask the Lord to ensure that all the good he did and tried to do, will flourish.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Father God, we pray for the repose of the soul of Your servant, Bishop Tschoepe. May his work on earth for the glory of Your Name continue through the faithful of his diocese, and from there, to the rest of the world. We ask that You will grant him his reward and bless the bishop who will succeed him to carry on guiding the Diocese of Dallas. We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

O most gracious Lord, in Thy Divine Mercy grant Bishop Thomas Tschoepe eternal rest. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art’ thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Eternal rest give unto his soul O Lord
Let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul rest in peace.
Amen

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.
