A Prayer to St. Jude

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for ‘young1970’ and Bob, and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

Amen.

Conditions at my apartment complex have GOTTEN EVEN worse; someone put a dumpster on fire last night at 11 pm. even the police did not come only the fire department. The dumpster lies in a pile of ashes in the back parking area. MY drug dealer neighbor has people coming in and out of the building every five minutes and there are children living on this floor; the police know about him and have not done ANYTHING about it. I even witness regular drug deals in which one of his clients comes in through the UNSECURED BACK entrance which the landlord will not fix meets his dealer in the stairwell and then runs out to his car one or two minutes later; now a DAILY occurrence. And there are kids living on this floor who are exposed to this daily. We are moving on April 30h to a secure and peaceful building but my heart aches for the people FORCED TO LIVE under these conditions. I am sending a detailed letter to the mayor and governor who has a mansion only four blocks from my apartment building about the terrible living conditions here and how the police have EVEN GIVEN UP on this building. Maybe something can change for the poor NICE PEOPLE who HAVE TO LIVE here; may God bring justice to what is and has occurred here. As I mentioned earlier, the office manager KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING AND REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING about it and bullies those who want to contact the service agencies that she will kick them out. May God bring swift and immediate justice as people do not deserve and have to live like this especially kids.
 
O glorious Saint Therese,
whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul
our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a “Prodigy of Miracles…
the Greatest Saint of Modern Times.”

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition for ‘young1970’ and Bob,
and to carry out your promises of spending Heaven doing good upon the earth…
of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea
“to be made known everywhere” and I will never cease
to lead others to Jesus through you.

that in difficult moments we might not despair

I ask for some more IMMEDIATE prayers as the conditions at our present apartment complex have degenerated even WORSE. I received a phone call from the property owner, Trent on Thursday in which he called me while I was at work; he wanted to know why we were moving and did not give him 30 days notice. When I told him that my next door neighbor was a crack dealer, he commented that he “knows that but he is such a nice guy and pays his rent.” He then said that he would be suing us for “damages but he would WIPE his hands clean of us if we professionally cleaned the apartment before we left”. He said he is keeping our security deposit and would let us leave in “peace” if we professionally left it cleaned. The man is a true SLUM LORD. Drug traffic has been coming in through the broken security door all night which he knows and refuses to fix. An elderly lady yesterday who lives here and has no other place to live as she is on housing was at the bus stop when I was going to work. She told me that the office manager has rented Apt 1 to several young teenagers who have broken into all three of the storage units on each floor; police have come here on 6-8 occasions for them; have arrested one of the teenagers; they have 10-20 teenagers loitering the hallways at a time; and yet the landlord and office manager refuse to get involved. These are the TYPES of conditions that these poor people who remain here have to ENDURE on a daily basis. I had a very bad day on Thursday as I allowed this slum lord to intimidate and scare me, but the truth is what about the poor, innocent people and children who have to live under these deplorable conditions on a daily basis and have no choices…PLEASE PRAY FOR THESE PEOPLE

We are moving tomorrow. I have written a detailed email containing all of the narcotics activity with our neighbor which I will be submitting to the Captain and Sergeant of our police department who are looking for this information tomorrow morning. The living conditions here are “hellish” with the open drug activity, ect and the failure of the landlord to address or even care about these issues. I ask for EVERYONES prayers that the police department is able to address these issues and bring some JUSTICE AND PEACE to the innocent people who are forced to live under these conditions daily.
 
Praying for your move tomorrow and that the police can and will resolve these issues
