“Bishop Patrick R. Cooney, leader of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gaylord, suffered a heart attack on Saturday, January 5, while preparing for the Ordination Ceremony for Deacon Joseph Muszkiewicz in Gaylord. (See related item below.)”- from the diocesan website.

The Bp. and I disagree about a great many things in this diocese, but please keep him in your prayers, as he recovers from heart surgery. Deacon Joe will instead be ordained today by Bp. Quinn from the Archdiocese of Detroit. Please pray for Deacon Joe as well.

I spend most of the summer in the Diosese of Gaylord.
Bishop Cooney administered the sacrament of Confirmation to my sons year ago in the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Will be keeping Bishop Cooney in prayer with Our Lady and St. Joseph that he will recover speedily and fully from heart surgery and soon ‘back on deck’.
Will be keeping Deacon Joe and Bishop Quinn in prayer as well…
Our Lady of Mercy pray for them

Sacred Heart of Jesus I trust you, please shower your Mercies on them all…
