My niece, Christina, is 37 years old…married with two little boys ages 9 and 5. She has been on dialysis 3 times a week for almost a year. She had 6 seizures yesterday and is in Intensive Care.

Christina’s life has really been one long miracle. When she was born with spina bifida and hydocephalus the doctors said she would not live and if she did live, she would be a vegetable. The doctors’ predictions went unfulfilled. Instead one miracle after another has taken place thoughout her life.

I now ask the God of miracles for one more miracle…the miracle of healing that she may have the privilege of living to raise her children. I give Him thanks for the many past miracles.

I would appreciate your prayers for Christina, her husband, her two sons and her mother.

Mary, Mother of Jesus, be a mother to Christina. Obtain for her all the healing and other graces she is in need of, according to God’s will. Amen.

Nevertheless, she has had no more since then and we are cautiously optimistic that the seizure medicine will help prevent any future seizures. She was in good spirits when I talked with her…but then, she always is in good spirits. She seldom complains about anything… one of God’s very special children.
