Many of you know Fr. Donald Calloway who wrote “Champions of the Rosary”. I have been following Fr. Donald Calloway’s Facebook page for his upcoming book on Consecration to St. Joseph and it has been very upbeat for a while, with Fr. Calloway visiting St. Joseph’s Oratory and asking us to pray as he sought the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur for his book. St. Joseph is one of my favorite saints and I personally think that after Our Blessed Mother he is the greatest Saint, so I am 100 percent in support of Fr. Calloway’s effort to promote devotion to St. Joseph.

Unfortunately in the last few days it seems like Fr. Calloway’s publishing efforts have hit some bump in the road and he is posting about his worries that the book somehow won’t be published. We are all praying for his St. Joseph’s book to be published on the Facebook page, but I wanted to start some prayer threads for this elsewhere so that people not on Facebook could also pray for him.

Here is his Facebook page for the St. Joseph book where you can see the public posts even if you are not a Facebook member (I just logged out of Facebook and made sure).

Please pray for Fr. Calloway and for the success and timely publication of his book on Consecration to St. Joseph. Thank you in advance.

To anyone who hasn’t heard Fr. Calloway’s conversion story, you HAVE to hear this one. Fr. Calloway had no exposure to Catholicism as a kid, was a drug dealer, was a newsmaking thief in Japan, and then accidently stumbled across a book about Mary.
It’s available on cd at lighthousecatholicmedia.org

Prayer to St. Joseph

Holy St. Joseph, patriarch of the Holy Family and
patron of the Universal Church, please pray for
Fr. Calloway: that his book will be successful and
that it will glorify your earthly Son, Jesus. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Father Heilman, who is friends with Fr. Calloway, is asking that people pray the Auxilium Christianorum prayers for 40 days for Fr. Calloway’s St. Joseph book to be published.

If anyone is interested in doing this, the AC prayers are at the link below (Scroll down to the bottom of the post for the prayers.

Note that the AC prayers have a beginning part, then a prayer for the day of the week, and then you have to scroll all the way to the bottom for the “Conclusion for Every Day”. The first time I did them. I didn’t see that there was a “Conclusion for Every Day” for about a week.
