Fr. R is a friend of mine and pastor of a local parish. He’s had a history of voice problems; this led him to surgery a few years ago, and at first all was fine. Now he’s losing his voice again, and this time the doctors say there is nothing more to be done.

Please pray that Fr. R does not lose his voice. If he does, he will be forced to retire early and his ability to live his vocation will be seriously limited (he would no longer be able to celebrate Mass nor provide any sacraments). This would be tragic, both for him and for the faithful of this Archdiocese. He puts a brave face on things, but I know he’s suffering inside.

Thank you, and may God bless you all. 🙏

Up, I will add him to my prayer list. It would be very sad if he lost his voice at a time when we need every priest there is. Please let him know we are praying for him.

Offering up prayers to our Gracious Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. May He touch His servant so that Fr. R. may continue on in his vocation, through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

✞ In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Fr. R
). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Fr. R
's body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Prayers…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, Amen…

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

They say Father’s voice can’t be repaired, but loving God, “nothing is impossible to God”
We entrust Him to Your care,
and if he loses his voice completely, please guide and bless him to serve in ways that will honor You and help others.
