Loving God,

We lift up in prayer our intentions for the healing of Heather, a 21 year old niece of my coworker, who was just diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. We ask for mercy, strength, and courage for Heather, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. We also ask for trust in your divine providence for Heather’s friends and family members, so they may be a source of comfort and strength for her in this time of great trial in her life. We also ask you to send competent and compassionate medical care givers into Heather’s life. Lord, we lift up this prayer for Heather now:

PRAYER FOR HEALING

Merciful God,
we remember before you all who are sick this day.
Give them courage to live with their disease.
Help them to face and overcome their fears.
Be with them when they are alone or rejected.
Comfort them when they are discouraged.
And touch them with your healing Spirit
that they may find and possess eternal life,
now and forever.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Holy Spirit bring courage, and strength to Heather in this time of great difficulty. Bring her consolations through her family and friends. And may her doctors in charge treat her with compassion and treat her illness the best way possible. May St. Raphael administer healing to her lymphnodes in addition to the cancer treatment. I pray her family and friends remain positive and strong for her. All through Christ and Mary’s intercession. Amen.

Jesus, Heather and her family expected that she would begin a normal adult life at reaching 21, instead she is diagnosed with a serious illness. Please help her to develop an optimistic approach to a successful treatment and recovery, and at the least a gentle peacefulness shared with with family and friends as she deal with this great challenge. Help her to become an inspiration to everyone around her, and fill her life with mutual kindness and love.
We commend Heather to Your most tender love and care. Thank You
