Thank you, thank you oh so much! Jacques is vastly improved, and he’ll probably have a peaceful Christmas. His condition is an ongoing challenge, but at least we’re breathing easy for now.

Out of respect for Jacques’s privacy I never elaborated on the nature of the problem, but I wanted to reassure you that it is not health related. What he needs most is loyal, dedicated friends. Please pray that I do my best to become and remain one for him. It’s rarely easy, but he counts on me a lot and I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I gave up on him.
