God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.

Lord,
Spread your loving arms around those who are hurting inside from this loss. Guide their paths into ones that bring beautiful memories back into their hearts. Never let them forget the times when laughter and love was shared.

Lord, please escort with a caravan of holy angels James McK into the eternal banquet of life and grant him a privileged seat at the eternal table. Grant many graces to all those who may suffer from his departure, that they might have faith, hope, love, and joy, and be led ever toward the eternal table also, where all may sup with you, and all the angels and saints forever. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Powerful and ever-living Father, please have mercy on his soul. Please grant comfort to his family and loved ones.
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Prayer for the Deceased
O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed servant James McK in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of refreshment, where all pain, sorrow, and sighing have fled away. As a good God Who loves mankind, forgive every sin committed by him, in word or deed or thought, for there is no man who lives and does not sin. For You alone are without sin, Your righteousness is everlasting, and Your Word is truth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
**Prayer for the grieving **
Father of all mercies and God of consolation, You love us eternally and transform the shadows of death into the dawn of life. Look upon the grief of James’ friends and family; be their refuge and comfort so that their sadness and sorrow may turn into the light and peace of Your Presence. In dying, Your Son destroyed death; in rising, He restored life. Grant that at the end of our earthly pilgrimage we may be found in His company with our brothers and sisters. There, You shall wipe away every tear. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
