Please pray for Jessica in the hospital bed next to mine

Jessica is in a lot of pain but her health issues don’t have any clear or effective treatment, except treating the pain aspect, but are potentially lifelong.
She’s a sweet young woman who has only been married for three years.
I really feel for her. Please join me in praying for her.

My surgery went okay though more complicated than expected. The surgeon said this afternoon that they want me to stay in a few more days, but they’re taking such good care of me, of all of us. Hopefully they’ll say it’s okay for me to go to Mass in the hospital chapel on Sunday.

I hear happy staff voices. It’s a Catholic hospital with a wonderful community and personal spirit.
May God bless Jessica and everyone here fo medical reasons, as well as the surgeons, doctors, specialists, nurses and all the support staff

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Jessica). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Jessica’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I treasure your prayers
Jessica has had four major surgeries and faces another in February
, such a sweet gentle person. She won’t be able to have children unless a miracle occurs … but she has a husband as nice and gentle as she is!

I’ve surprised the staff at how well I’ve been doing, but they don’t know about the prayers of my good kind friends. The surgery was more complicated and difficult than they expected, they informed me, so your prayers for me were smiled upon

We prayer warriors, as we were called in the old CAF, don’t always know the outcomes of our prayers, but somehow I think Jessica will also be greatly blessed by your/our prayers.
I told her that I have friends praying for her and she asked me to thank you.

And we thank You our wonderful God, and our dear Mother for her intercession
I asked God long ago, that As nothing is impossible to Him, could He please make even a passing thought of any person be a prayer for them.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

But I do want to thank you, each for your prayers
And I ask You Lord to bless each of these generous persons for their prayer and to hear their own prayers for themselves and their families.

Ups and downs, but am receiving kind and helpful care.
I ask the Lord, please will you provide care and kindness for sick people who have no one to love or tend them.

I phoned my eldest sister this morning. She is chronically ill but that doesn’t stop her caring for others. Twice this week she’s taken Communion to an elderly woman who has two months to live, and my sister sits with her awhile when she visits. Her family seems unmoved by the dying woman’s spiritual needs … but many here would often do things like this
God bless them and God bless the ill or dying who are scared and alone in any way.
