Please pray for John who has died

My friend’s father died this morning after a relatively short, but intense battle with cancer. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for God to comfort John’s wife and family.

Eternal rest grant unto John, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
