Their prayer warriors, Miriam needs your help.
This Sudanese doctor is about to be executed for refusing to abandon her Christian faith and return to Islam. (She was given 4 days to renounce her Christian faith but she refused to do so) She was charged with apostasy and adultery for marrying a Christian man. The apostasy charge, which is abandoning Islam, came with a punishment of death, while the adultery charge came with 100 lashes.
Miriam was born to a Muslim father who left them when she was 6. She was then raised by her Christian orthodox mother. However, according to the Sudan’s Public Order Criminal Code, she is a Muslim by default because she was born to a Muslim father
She is 8 months pregnant with second child and is currently in prison with her 20-month-old son Martin.
Her husband, Daniel Wani is not allowed to visit, see or care for their son because he is a Christian.
Use the hashtag #SaveMariamYahayIbrahim on social media in order to gain more media and government attention And to also promote Freedom of Religion !
We ask everyone to put pressure on the Sudanese government and help save Mariam’s life.
Ps: Is your faith strong enough to make the decision that Miriam made knowing that it could cost her her life?
I found myself asking this question!
Thank you for your prayers. Amen
