I don’t like what Catholicism stands for, the evil it brings out in people
Boy you’ve got alot to learn

Ever heard of 12 year old St.
Maria Goretti, patron saint of rape victims or of
St. Augustine a once (VERY) unholy man, now one of the greatest theologians, or any saint for that matter? Please don’t tell me you find the work of Mother Teresa or
Dorothy Day evil.
and its intent to strip pleasure from life. I do, however, believe in God
I can tell you from experience, nothing brings me more joy than being a Catholic. Looking back at the “pleasures” of the world is like comparing a slice of moldy cabbage to a feast. Besides, I want eternal happiness, not temporary pleasures.
It’s not easy to be faithful (I learned that the hard way), and Christ never said it was, I believe he even said the opposite. But then again, this blink of an eye we call life will be over soon. Then there’s eternity, and it’s either Heaven or hell forever.
It’s great that you beleive in God. Now think about it, what’s more important, this life or the next? I mean really, think about it, what else
really matters? Were all gonna go one day and leave everything in this world behind, everything and everyone and face Him. But I’m guessing you knew that already.
By the way, I’m also 17 and was a former MM fan back in my youth
You claim to know little of the Catholic faith. I myself was there before and was about to abondon it but decided, before I left, to look and see what the Church had to say about herself, not what others said, and after some intense research came to find that I could not abondon the truth, no matter how hard and demanding it seemed at first. I

it now

Have you ever thought that perhaps your views of the Catholic Church stem from misunderstandings and misconceptions? It’s not and uncommon things these days, unfortunately.
Well I hope you give Catholicism some more thought, living a devout Catholic life is a terribly beautiful battle but completely worth it.
Sorry, didn’t mean to hijack my own thread
please keep praying for MM and my buddy here.
