For Marvin, all those in hospice and other forms of palliative care…

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.

Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us all our trespasses

For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
for ever and ever.

Hail Holy Queen!
Hail Mother of mercy!
Our life our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us
and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of they womb, Jesus.
O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary,
pray for us o holy mother of God
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen

O God, great and omnipotent judge of the living and the dead, we are to appear before you after this short life to render an account of our works. Give us the grace to prepare for our last hour by a devout and holy life, and protect us against a sudden and unprovided death. Let us remember our frailty and mortality, that we may always live in the ways of your commandments. Teach us to watch and pray, that when your summons comes for our departure from this world, we may go forth to meet you, experience a merciful judgment, and rejoice in everlasting happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. John of God, Patron of the sick and compassionate, Father of all those who suffer or are in any distress, I confidently turn to you in Marvin’s time of need. I pray you to intercede for me with Jesus whom you followed so faithfully in His healing apostolate.

Knowing only Jesus can provide the true answer to my call for help and confide in His promise
that if I but ask, it be given to me, I now invoke your intercession in pleading for Marvin.

All glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.

St. John of God, pray for me
