Please pray for me, a sinner

Hello everybody,

This is my first post on here, I was looking for an introductions forum but I could not find it so I figured asking for prayer would be a good way of introducing myself to this wonderful community,

I have been reading this forum / lurking for almost 3 years now, and I’m becoming more involved with the Church and with my Parish now more-so than ever before,

I’m coming back to the Roman Catholic Church after 9 months spent in Eastern Orthodox Catechism, I was 2 weeks away from being baptized and received into the Russian Orthodox Church and then I started having doubts, I started realizing I’d be turning my back on my ancestral Church and on the Holy Father, and I repented of my error and have come back into communion with the Holy Father and the Holy See, and I am exceedingly happy about this,

I ask you my brothers and sisters, and all the angels and saints together with the Every Virgin Mary and blessed Joseph her spouse, to pray for me to the Lord our God,

Forgive me any sins I have committed or ever will commit against any of you, and pray my family is blessed with long life, peace on Earth and salvation in Paradise,

God bless us all and happy Independence Day!

It’s sort of funny you say that,

I was infant baptized in the Catholic Church, and I have since partaken in the Blessed Sacrament of Sacraments the Holy Eucharist, and I have made Reconciliation as well, but I am actually still unconfirmed, I am in the process of attending confirmation catechesis and waiting to partake in the Sacrament of Confirmation, so I am awaiting the Seal of the Spirit!

O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, who art everywhere present and fillest all things, come and abide in us and cleanse us of every stain of sin and save our souls, O Good One!

I will say a prayer for contrition – but only if you do so for me. I am just as much a sinner as you are. We all have flaws!

Hello JasonLovesJesus ( that’s a powerful name!) Welcome.

Why not try enjoying your newly rediscovered Faith - It’s not all about sin you know.
God loves you and wants you to be happy. The greater your love for Him grows, so He will fill you with His grace. Just listen to Him in stillness and you will gradually see the way He wishes you to go forward in your love for Him and your love towards others.

I pray that Our loving Lord will grant you peace and surround you with His joy.

O Holy Apostle, because you are the Rock upon which Almighty God has built His Church, obtain for me I pray you: lively faith, firm hope, and burning love, complete detachment from myself, contempt of the world, patience in adversity, humility in prosperity, recollection in prayer, purity of heart, a right intention in all my works, diligence in fulfilling the duties of my state of life, constancy in my resolutions, resignation to the will of God and perseverance in the grace of God even unto death; that so, by means of your intercession and your glorious merits, I may be made worthy to appear before the Chief and Eternal Shepherd of Souls, Jesus Christ, Who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever.
