I ask for your prayers during a very difficult and scary time for myself and my family.
I am the only one in my family who is not on depression and anxiety medication. Coincidentally I’m the only one who of four cradle Catholic altar boys who has grown in and learned their Catholic faith since becoming an adult. The last few weeks I have been plagued with feelings of anxiety and fear about going crazy and hurting people. For many years my faith has gotten me through and has been the one thing that has allowed my brothers who are all on medication to maybe think that it is only by coming back to the church that they can get throught their depression. Two of my three brothers seem miserable and use alchohol, medication, and promiscuity to get through it. We are all in our mid to late thirties and are really starting to struggle with our past. I think our mother was abused as a child but has never dealt with it. Please pray for me that I can rely on my faith in Jesus to get through this. That I can learn to understand what it means to give it to him. I am too scared to become dependent on medication.

Prayers and any advice is greatly appreciated. My prayers are with all of you.

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.
May St. Dymphna intercede for you. Amen!

You wrote," The last few weeks I have been plagued with feelings of anxiety and fear about going crazy and hurting people." I pray that you seek assistance to help you. Here is a link that I’ve seen Fr. Serpa provide: catholictherapists.com./find.asp I hope this information helps.
May God bless you, protect you, and heal you!

Bless you for your faith, and the strength it’s taken to avoid searching for help via alcohol, medication or promiscuity - I admire you very much!

Jesus is definitely there for you - and so are we. I will be praying diligently for your happiness, peace and continued strength. :blessyou:

**I fully understand your concern. My mother is a drug addict. My 3 sisters have mental problems stemming from our Mother.

I have often wondered if “I’m as crazy as they are and just don’t know it”… Well, I’m not! God will defend you as he has defended me.**

Almighty and ever-present Father,
your watchful care reaches from end to end
and orders all things in such power
that even the tensions and the tragedies of sin
cannot frustrate your loving plans.
Help us to embrace your will,
give us the strength to follow you and your call,
so that your truth may live in our hearts
and reflect peace to those who believe in your love.
AMEN

**I encourage :

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Father, please hold my brother howletus up this day and everyday forward as he does his best to walk with You. You know us better than we know ourselves, and I know that You understand our weaknesses. So again I ask that You hold Your child closely and that You send St. Michael to fight the eternal fight for my brother’s soul. Please heal him of his worries and give him Your gift of love and understanding so that he knows You are there with him. I ask this in the name of Your son Jesus. Amen.
