Yesterday there was an incident that occurred. Before I went to confession, my mom told me to call her when I reached the church. While I was driving there, a song came on KLOVE that reminded me so much of how God has worked goodness in my life and how I turned from the dark to the light. I was really contemplating God through this song to the point where I forgot about calling my mom and telling her I was there and I didn’t realize it until 30 minutes after I came to the church. I rushed back to the car (my phone was in there) and I called her back to apologize and that I forgot, but I got a massive scolding…I could only just sit in the car and cry, until I surrendered to God everything that happened and I dried my tears and went to mass. I was feeling a bit down a mass and I prayed and I found out that God sent one of my friends to mass, which really brought my spirits up and I thanked the Lord. I was happy and full of joy of the Lord, until I came back home, where I was scolded even more and some of my driving privileges were suspended…She explained to me how she had called a taxi to come take her to the church to look for me and that she had to pay the cab driver, because she canceled to go the last minute
I feel that this is a form of suffering that God has put in my life and I feel so bad that I offended my mother and caused so much worry upon. I did not deliberately mean to do this and I made a promise to not do this again and I forgive her for yelling at me…but my heart is at unrest, because I feel that she hasn’t forgiven me. I prayed to the Blessed Virgin about this and I know that good will come soon that she’ll get over this incident…because my mom doesn’t drive and I have to drive on my own to church, school, etc, because my dad has to work and she’s suspended me from driving on my own, and I have to obey her.
Please pray that I will find rest in my heart and that the Lord will touch the heart of my mother so that she will forgive me and trust me again.
