I’ve sinned against God and my family.

In a horrible moment of weakness I offered to give a woman money for oral sex. This was the first time. I felt driven, possessed. I found her number on an adult web site. When I arrived I was met by local law enforcement and the FBI. Arrested and booked for solicitation. I was released after a few hours. They made me put on jail cloths and put me in a cell with a drug addict, (Chris, please pray for him too) and another guy. After a few hours I was released. All i have to do is pay the fine and I don’t have to go to court.

I know my sins will be made public in our paper. I told my wife and she kicked me out. So selfish. My wife and kids are paying for what I did. Plus I will lose my job. And I won’t be able to teach high schoolers at the church any more.

Please pray for God’s mercy. I ask for forgiveness from all of Christ’s Church.

Please offer any ideas.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee
Blessed Art Tho Amonst Women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us Sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

Also research the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, it may assist you in seeking God’s forgiveness

“There is no Saint without a past, and no sinner without a future”
  • St. Augustine

Know that it is better to pay for your sins now rather than after death. Amend our ways, pray, pray, pray.

Hopefully this will blow over and you’ll feel much better.

Divine Mercy is GREATER than all types of confession. Better pray and talk to HIM in meditation and prayer and ask for repentance and redemption for all such sins put together. The LORD likes to HEAR you in prayer. He came here to redeem to sinners, as he said ’ he came only for the sick and not for the healthy people’

Confession Boxes are just to hear your stories interestingly and no other.

I seriously doubt this will blow over. If his marriage gets back on the rails it will take a lot of work to rebuild trust, and it will cause his wife pain for years to come.

God allows and permits bad things to happen for the greater good and His glory…this has been said and taught for about 2000 years now…we(you) don’t/can’t see why/understand but perhaps maybe if forgiveness isn’t found from your wife and things don’t work out than maybe He has a higher/different calling for you down the line or maybe just simply to teach you humility and say maybe less selfish when it comes to you towards family and this means is the way…keep praying and following the statutes of our Faith and He will show you, guide you and transform you…the answer will come…God Bless You…🙂

that’s rough

the crime seems relatively minor in the criminal/civil sense

but good grief, shipmate, you’ve got a tough road to hoe with regards to faith; and your family and your job

good luck

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I’m confident he’ll be just fine. In a few weeks, it won’t seem like such a big deal.

Don’t avoid your wife. Keep the lines of communication open, and stress how sorry you are for betraying/embarrassing her. You can’t just apologize once for this sort of thing.

Bad idea to try and give him false hope. Redemption/forgiveness are certainly possible, but nobody just “forgets” that sort of thing.

I just think a small matter like this will soon be forgotten. Things like this happen all the time and people just put it behind them and move on. I’m not sure why some people want to magnify and fixate upon other people’s sins and make such drama about it. We all make mistakes. I doubt Jesus would want us to dwelling on the sins of another. That’s how lives get ruined, by those who judge, not the sin.

What alternate dimension are you living in where getting taken in by the FBI because you were trying to cheat on your wife with a prostitute is a “small matter”?

If the FBI is involved, this is not your average solicitation sting.

I’m not sure why you care so much about my opinion. It’s just an opinion. I think it’s a small matter because God’s forgiveness is sufficient. Those around him should also be forgiving. There’s no need to ruin a guy’s life over one mistake. Even law enforcement in this case is allowing him to just pay a fine and move on.

Those who judge and ridicule others because of sin will be judged. The Lord has made that quite clear.
