This has been an ongoing problem with me for 5 years. It seems to get worse. Yet, my faith is still strong.

Being disabled and hurting, having no family or friends that can help and not finding resources close to me AND transportation to get help is a BIG, BIG problem. Has been for 5 years.

AND now we have a ban on our water again. The ban has been ongoing for 5 years too.

And food pantries do not deliver.

PLEASE, please pray for me. I am still praying for you and thank you.

Love,
Sheila

My Lord Jesus, lead all souls to heaven
especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Our Father…Hail Mary x10
Glory Be…Fatima Prayer…Amen!

Update and my mistake. My Aunt said she read in the news we had a ban on water. I called water company to see if it was lifted or when it will be and they said we never had one. Probably it was another district.

Love,
Sheila

Dear Father in heaven,

Please provide for all without food and drink and all who on a low income. Please Holy Spirit touch them, give them strength and encouragement in these difficult times.
Grant this Oh Lord, through your one and only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you and in unity with the Holly Spirit, for ever and ever. Amen.

Sheila, perhaps you could call your local parish and seek out your local St. Vincent de Paul? Also, our parish has other organizations and means to help people who need it on an ongoing basis. For example, we have care calendars and families sign up to prepare and deliver meals to those in need. I’m guessing your parish too could help you on an ongoing basis? I would make a call or two to find out what help is available to you from your parish.

I will pray for you.

Yes, contact your closest parish and ask how to contact the St. Vincent de Paul Conference nearest to you. If the parish doesn’t’ know, contact oher paishes in your diocese and even the chancery office for the diocese itself. Or call the SVDP National Office in St. Louis and they will get you to the right spot. You can get the contact info via the SVDP national website at svdpusa.org.

Vincentians do deliver. That is their main characteristic - that they go to those in need:eek: in their own homes. The Society is not like a social service agency that makes their clients come to a central business location and then stand in line for a significant length of time in the hopes of talking to a case worker. Vincentians are there to help those in need on a personal one-on-one basis - as clearly stated in Scripture,

Praying that you can reach out to the organizations noted in previous posts and receive the assistance you need.

Mary.

Yep. This is spot on. 👍👍

Try contacting the Parish food pantry, many Parishes deliver food. Also, check into if you have “Meals On Wheels” in your area. Are you in contact with your local Social Services? Praying for your intentions.

Perhaps in your area there are such groups as: Meals on Wheels, or parish groups with volunteers.

Dear Lord Jesus,…Help Sheila find what she needs!

Dear Blessed Mother…intercede for Sheila’s needs!

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, Implored your help , or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen

:signofcross:

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Peace

Prayer to Sts. Nazarius and Celsus

Saint Nazarius and Saint Celsus, not very much is known of your lives, other than you were both martyred for the faith by Emperor Nero. St. Ambrose discovered your relics and a vital of your blood. Many miracles were wrought by appeal to both of you. One of the legends surrounding the two of you was that St. Nazarius’ mother was Saint Perpetua, that beautiful and steadfast saint who was herself martyred years before. It was said Saint Celsus was a companion of Nazarius.
Having both of you as an early example of courage, loyalty, and perseverance to the end, please pray that we may likewise obtain those virtues. Intercede and plead for us to God, that He may have mercy on our weaknesses, and give us an abundance of grace because of them. May we be willing to even shed our blood for the Faith if Christ asks it of us. I also ask you to hear and succor the petitions laid before you this day.
Pray for us, Saints Nazarius and Celsus!
Amen.

Dear Sheila,

I really wish I could help you. I’m in a similar predicament. I will pray for you.
Do call the Saint Vincent de Paul people. They are very good at helping.

Could someone start a Go Fund Me page for you? Does your public transportation company
have van service? In the Boston Area we have funded system called “The Ride” that takes disabled people places they need to go for a small fee.

Mother Mary, Saint Rita, Saint Jude, Saint Joseph, please pray and intercede for Sheila.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart, for Sheila and her needs
by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of meeting Sheila’s needs for food and other assistance, and that she find an organization or persons who can help her regularly so she doesn’t end up foodless again.
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of meeting Sheila’s needs for food and other assistance, and that she find an organization or persons who can help her regularly so she doesn’t end up foodless again.
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of meeting Sheila’s needs for food and other assistance, and that she find an organization or persons who can help her regularly so she doesn’t end up foodless again.
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours.
Hail, Holy Queen…
St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us. Amen.
