PRAYER TO BL. JANE OF AZA

Dearest Jane, we earnestly give to you our petitions this day. We have confidence in your intercession because you were once a wife and mother like so many of us. Born to a noble family, you were married to another noble and gave birth to five children. When the eldest two boys became priests, you went to the shrine of St. Dominic Silos to beg for another son to carry on the family name and line. Your prayers were answered in the form of a dream in which St. Dominic Silos came you and said this child would be a shining light for the Church.

A son was born to you, and you called him Dominic after the saint who commended your request to God. As he grew to manhood, it was evident that he had extraordinary virtue and grace. You too allowed him to study for the religious life. He was the founder of the Dominicans.

Since through a Saint’s petitions your urgent prayers were granted, we beseech you to listen to our prayers and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Please pray for our families, our children, for all those who have strayed from the Faith which you and your son so loved, and for all those who will die this day, especially priests and religious. Please also include this CAF member who is struggling with family issues. Thank you, Bl. Jane. Amen.

This has been an ongoing problem with me for 5 years. It seems to get worse. Yet, my faith is still strong.

Being disabled and hurting, having no family or friends that can help and not finding resources close to me AND transportation to get help is a BIG, BIG problem. Has been for 5 years.

AND now we have a ban on our water again. The ban has been ongoing for 5 years too.

And food pantries do not deliver.

PLEASE, please pray for me. I am still praying for you and thank you.

Madam, you have no idea how much my heart aches for you. I feel so terrible that this happens to people in our current world, especially kind people like you. I cannot imagine myself in your situation, disabled, hurting, barely having food, a water ban, and I am sure much more. I admire how you have kept your faith strong in this long crisis. Please keep your faith, never lose hope, as God works in mysterious ways. I come from the Philippines, a very poor country where a lot of people are your position. This is why I hate seeing people suffer, especially without food, water, and family. Is there anything I can do to help? Maybe you can start a gofundme fundraiser or call local parishes and tell them your situation as you have told us. If you ever feel lonely and need someone to talk to, my e-mail is imfilipino12@gmail.com . I am praying that your suffering may end and Jesus may ease all of your problems. God bless you Shiela!

You were a friend of sinners. You always reminded them: “Your sins are just like grains of sand in front of the great mountain of the mercy of God.” Loosen the bonds of fear that prevents us to approach the mercy of God: help us to be truly sorrowful for our sins. Help us to discover the true face of God who always waits for the return of the prodigal son.

You were always a help to the poor: “My secret is simple; it is to give all and to keep nothing for myself.” Teach us to share with those who are in need, help us to be free from our attachments to money and to all false riches.

Dear Pope St. Sixtus II, not much is known of your early life but as pope, you were responsible for the harmony between the eastern and western churches. In your short tenure of the papacy, you were an amazing example of peace, loyalty, and courage. You were martyred for your faith, and thus were the foundation that our modern Church was built on. Please pray for us who are still in this exile, the we may always keep forefront in our minds our ultimate destination and our ultimate Love. I also ask you to keep in your heart always the intentions I place before you today- for Sheila and her financial necessities…Please bring these petitions to the throne of God and humbly present them to Him on our behalf.
