Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

2/18/20 Horizon87 Please Pray for me (I am lost)
I am not Catholic, but I have made a few threads about the possibility of becoming Catholic and also discussed the Marian apparitions and miracles.

I haven’t committed to Catholicism because I am still not sure if it is right for me, and therefore am still weighing it up.

Part of my exploration of Catholicism has been my own journey and situation. I am actually in a pretty bad situation with my health. I have a neurological illness that is progressing and hasn’t been yet treatable.

I am in my early 30s, and I should have my whole life ahead of me, but this is increasingly not the case, and I have lost a big part of my freedom and independence, and as a young man this takes its toll.

Please pray for me so that my doctors and nurses can help treat me and find the answers to cure me of this illness.

Thank you.
Dear Jesus, please hear our prayers asking for effective treatment and healing for Horizon87, and that our friend learns to know You, love You, and serve You as a communicant in Your Holy Roman Catholic Church. In Your Name, Dear Jesus, do we ask.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will,
which is love and Mercy itself.
Amen…

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Hi Horizon87!

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re struggling with your health. Hopefully since the original post, you’ve been doing better. I’m a cradle Catholic, but I think I understand how you feel. I’m a little biased, but I think you’ll come to realize that Catholicism is for you 🙂

A great thing to do is to pray. Even if you’re not sure what to say, the best thing to do is just listen. I also recommend Ignatius’ Examen. It’s a really easy prayer that helps us pay attention to God in the everyday rhythm of our lives.

Since you’re suffering from an illness, I also think that connecting your pain to Jesus’ on Good Friday will help you feel less alone or helpless. Jesus Christ was so humble that He decided to get down on our level and understand what it means to suffer. It’s almost unthinkable…that a God would choose to suffer like one of us. He thought of you, in fact, when He was suffering.

I will pray for your healing and your struggles in faith. Do not give up hope!

Hi everyone

Thank you to all who have participated in this thread and who have had me in their prayers. I am very grateful for this wonderful community.

While I may not be cured right now, I have made great progress in obtaining a further understanding to my illness. I am at present in a much better place in my mental and spiritual outlook than I was when this topic was created.

It has been an absolute blessing to have received so much kindness and support here from this community.

Your prayers and support will never be forgotten!

Thank you so much.

I am now formally requesting a closure/lock to this topic for any further support/prayers.

Thank you for allowing us to pray for you, and for letting us know that you believe our prayers helped. I wish you nothing but the best from here forward, and may God bless you and keep you close to him. 🙂
