Please pray for me, I have been laid off

Hi CatholicAnswers,

I was laid off from my marketing job about 6 weeks ago. Before this job, I had prayed for God to let me transition into a marketing job and he opened this door for me, but I was only in the role for about a year.

*Can you please pray that God opens up a stable job with a good commute, good salary so I can support myself, a good manager and team? Can you also pray he sends me hope and comfort? *

Since the lay off, I have applied to numerous jobs and have not heard back on those applications or have been rejected. I have reached out to many connections and only one has responded, but at this time they don’t have an open job to refer me to. I have had 2 interviews including one at my former company, but the leads have gone cold and there are no responses when I try to follow up.

I’m doing my best to stay in faith, but it’s scary to see so many closed doors. Not to mention due to the new laws, I am forced to enroll in health insurance each month that is very expensive. I have been praying novenas to Saint Anthony, Saint Jude, and am saying the Unfailing Novena of the Lady of Knots.

Your prayers are deeply appreciated!

It’s funny you say that because that was the best job, team, manager, and location I ever had in a job. When it ended, I was devastated. I could not understand still to some degree cannot understand what God is doing with my career. I pray that you have a stable career. Sorry to hear you been laid off more than once. 😦

Iv had several fantastic jobs , but lose them because of Dyslexia ,
See one thing write down another ,drives me nuts,
Also had Dreadfull jobs as well,
Take care,,,,,, everything actually does come good in the end
 
Praying for you to find work and peace of mind. Take the time to find out about yourself, your interests, what you would be good at.

Oh Merciful Father,I come to Your presence fully acknowledging that nothing is impossible with You. Lord, I lose heart when I am continually disappointed in my search for a job and when a job, which I like, goes to somebody else. Endless waiting and all the recommendations unavailing shatter my hope. My mind, under such circumstances, tends to degenerate into doubting Your might and questioning Your love. In all such situations, strengthen me to put my trust in You and to be patient in You.If my sins are a stumbling block to this blessing, I plead with You Father, to forgive them. Lord, I am also very much worried when I realize that I am not in a position to support my family. Turn every sorrow into joy. I know that You will definitely do so. Grant me a good job soon, according to Your will and in the place of Your own choice. Your will is my privilege.
