Hi everyone. I ask for some prayers…
Ever since the beginning of this month, I have had this sort of anxiety within me. After much time spent in the adoration chapel, the anxiety has went away. However, for some reason, I find that there is a sadness within me. I’ve been doing everything I can to get rid of it…but nothing has worked. Also, a lot of the things that used to make me happy are not really getting me as fulfilled…I also find myself being more pessimistic with negative thoughts, which is odd because I’m usually an optimist. I find myself stressing out more and I even lost my temper on my sister earlier this week, something that doesn’t normally happen.
I’ve been praying so hard for God to heal me and to get rid of this suffering…but I feel as if He’s not hearing my prayer, although I know He is. I’m starting to feel hopeless, and I’m tempted to despair…but I’m holding on in faith.
It’s strange because I feel as if the only things that make me feel happy are work (I help resettle refugees- I love my job so much) and when I read articles or think about the things that I am passionate about (foreign policy, international human rights).
Please pray that God will deliver me from this…that peace and joy will return back into my life.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

I will pray for you, but keep in mind that what you are describing sounds like clinical depression. The symptoms need only to be present for at least two weeks. Just something to think about if it doesn’t go away soon. :o

Prayer to Saint Martha**

O glorious Saint Martha,
I have recourse to your protection and aid,
And as proof of my affection and faith
I promise faithfully to complete this novena.

Comfort me in my difficulties
And intercede for my family
With your intimate friend, our savior,
That we may always hold God in our hearts
And be provided for in our necessities.

I beg your supplications
Especially in behalf of the favor
I ask of you in this novena.

I ask you to pray and intercede on behalf of Jcats, who is having a hard time right now.

I ask you, Saint Martha,
By your intercession to help me
In overcoming all my difficulties
And to teach me to become great
In the Kingdom of Heaven
By becoming as humble as you
In this world. Amen.

It is truly amazing what a trip to Adoration can do for your spirit !

Praying for your recovery from your attack…
Lord Jesus, lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Our Father…Hail Mary x10
Glory Be…Fatima Prayer…Amen!

Please look up ‘Fr Ripperger Binding Prayers’. This very holy priest and exorcist helped me with the same thing.

Binding prayers should only be used for yourself, and your children or spouse, if applicable.

You can say a prayer, such as “Spirit of X (anxiety, oppression,… ), I bind thee in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and send thee to the foot of the cross to receive your sentence.”

In the hierarchy of grace, evil spirits recognise and must obey such prayers, if it is the will of God. You may be surprised how quickly your condition improves.

Praying to St. Michael the Archangel to watch over & protect you.

Here is a short diagnostic test -
Do these describe you? Are all three of these true for you at the same time?
  1. Do you find no consolation (comfort, relief, satisfaction) in the things of God, nor do you find consolation in any other places or things?
  2. Do you keenly desire to serve God, with a thirst for justice and fear of sin? And do you find strength against temptations to wrong-doing or sin?
  3. Do you find great difficulty in discursive meditation (mental prayer, engaging Holy Scripture, for example, with the mind and one’s reasoning powers, to seek God’s will and wisdom with understanding) - but instead find an inclination or tendency to a simple loving gaze toward God?
