Hi there Everyone
I’ve been absent for some time now,
yet still praying for all of you.
Please keep me in your prayers- I was asked to be the Godmother to my cousin’s baby boy ( healthy baby born 04 December 2007 ). I was asked to be the Godmother as soon as they found out that they were expecting a baby.
To be asked to be a Godmother is not only an honour and priviledge, it is a mammouth resposibility. I gladly accepted. The only problem is that both parents do not go to Mass, or any other Church. The Father is Catholic ( my cousin ) and the mother is Full Gospel, yet were married in the Catholic Church 2 years ago.
Though I’ve given both of them a talking to about their role and responsibility in terms of parents, their role and responsibility in terms of asking the Church for Baptism, and my role and responsibility in terms of being the Godmother, I still get the feeling that they are just committing for now to get their child baptised and that they are not really willing to make a true commitment to go to Church thereafter.
I believe that people can change, so please join me in this special intention, to pray for their committment to Jesus and the Church. That they will be drawn by the Holy Spirit and realise the yearning and desire to have Jesus in their daily lives, so that they can be good parents, practising their Faith and living by example
I pray for each and everyone , and for each and every request on this Forum.
God Bless you
