Please pray for me - Roommate from hell

This is my first post… I pray that everyone’s intentions be answered according to Gods will. :gopray: Well, to make a long story short I rent a shared room and my roommate is making my life a living hell. She is one of those people that thinks that if u don’t live according to her standards of how a Christian should be then u are looked down upon. She isn’t Catholic… she goes to a Pentecostal church.

Anyways, most of the people who rent from my landlady are disabled. Both my roommate and I suffer with mental illness, although I am more of what they call ‘higher functioning’ and stable on my meds/therapy. My roommate is not stable and is very vindictive and envious of me because I am more stable. She has put holes in my clothes, cut a chunk off from my sandals, thrown grape juice on my Catholic bible and notes, stolen from me, called me a Catholic witch and the list goes on.

I have even had times in the middle of the night when I have been awakened hearing a voice screaming my name. She told me that her mother is a Satanist and with the horrible way she is with me and the spiritual attacks I suffer through her I wonder if her being Pentecostal isn’t just a front and that she too is a Satanist. I have forgiven her over and over but it is wearing me down emotionally and spiritually.

Please pray for my roommate… her name is ‘Veronique’ … And that I be spiritually protected from her attacks and that my possessions (especially my Catholic possessions) be protected as well. Also, that the Lord help me get another place to live.

I very seldom post as I’m never sure how to react to the situations I have read on this sight. I can only comment to your predicament by telling you I will pray for you, and that you must be an amazing person to tolerate the abuse you are experiencing by your room mate. The strength you are displaying in this very difficult scenario must be coming through your faith. I do trust in God that you will find a solution soon. Please keep me posted.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Thank u so much for your prayers Murtle May… They are very much appreciated. 🙂 I am not as strong as I seem or quite the angel. I have lots of faults like everyone else. Being around her negative influence has caused me to fall into a depression for good while where I wouldn’t do anything around the house except cook here and there. She thinks that my depression is fake and some mornings would kick my bed to startle me awake. There were days I had no energy to get up. I am on anti-depressants now and it is helping alittle but there are days when I want to pack my stuff up in my backpack and leave but that would leave me homeless.

I am going to my church tomorrow to talk with my priest and see what he says. Again, thank u for your prayers. I will remember u in mine. God bless

You can ask the landlord or anyone in charge of your rooms that this person is doing these things.

I think the landlord or whoever is in charge would indeed separate this person from you if they know this is going on–ruining your clothes and desecrating your Bible is vandalism. And the trouble they’re causing you is more than enough to be harassment. Along with prayer, take action against this unruly person. If you don’t want to talk to the landlord, you can talk to the person who owns the building, or the like.

I have talked with my landlady but she won’t do anything and the owner of the house owns many houses in the area. He is businessman before anything else and I could never bring this to his attention it would only make matters worse for me believe me. Thank u for your prayers and pray also that my priest can come up with a solution for me. God bless. 🙂

Just out of curiosity, why are you in this situation? Haven’t you reported this bad behavior to your landlady?

Re: The roommate calling her own mother a “Satanist” === Yeah, some fanatical Pentecostals think anybody that disagrees with them are working for Satan. Check out Chick Publications tracts online and get a good laugh from them, although sadly there are many Christians who take these tracts seriously.
