I don’t like asking for help from others, but I really need prayers. This past week has been one of the worst weeks of my life–no joke. I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar and spent the past week in a psych. hospital. To make matters worse, someone who was special to me has left and I don’t know if I’ll see that person again. I am hurting a lot and any prayers or comforting comments that anyone could give would really help. Please also pray for my family as this affects them even more…😦

Prayers and petitions,

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.”
“My Jesus, pardon and mercy, by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds.”

Be compassionate with yourself, so you do not carry guilt or shame for your condition, I suffer from anxiety and it is a daily burden. We all live in difficult times and I think most of us are suffering from all the consequences of stress. Know that God loves you as you are. I’m learning to let things go and sometimes when anger overwhelms me, I start to say to myself…“It is what it is, I can’t change it” “It is what it is”.

Alexius:

I am very sorry about your diagnosis - BUT it can be managed! Please keep praying and read something uplifting, if you can. We on this thread will hold you AND your family up in prayer. God of Love and Mercy, have mercy on this child of yours. Give her strength, fortitude and patience to bear this cross. Aid her family and comfort them. Do not let any of your children despair. Keep Alexius safe and let her know that You are at her side. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.🙂

Alexius: I am praying for you and your family.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

I have bipolarity running in my family too. I will be sure to pray for you as well. :byzsoc:

Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. I’m trying to take it one day at a time, but I often struggle with being anxious about the future…😦

Hi Alexius,

This is a heavy cross, but with Our Lord’s help, I know that you will be able to carry it!

I will be praying for you :gopray:

Here are two prayers which I hope may be of help to you:

Prayer against Depression - by Saint Ignatius of Loyola

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

PRAYER FOR
INNER STRENGTH

Lord Jesus Christ,
I’m upset and disturbed,
and I pray that You will grant me
the grace of inner Peace.
As You commanded the storm winds at sea to be calm,
command the storms in my life to be calmed.
Give me the patience I need
to cope with the burdens and anxieties of my life.
Grant me the strength to better deal with my problems,
and the understanding to be more tolerant
and kind to others.
Teach me to seek after Your will
which alone brings peace of mind
and peace of heart.

Amen.
