You and your husband are in my prayers.

St. Peregrine, please intercede and bring comfort and recovery to Joe.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, please help Diane and Joe with everything they need, and enlist the help of others who will ease Diane and Joe in their tremendous trial.

I will pray for you. I know how you feel. I had just had open heart surgery 6 months before and missed a lot of work when my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.I was also trying to take care of him and work.He died March 2007. I was VERY lucky that the people at work were so nice. I got time off when I needed it.
I will go to mass tomorrow morning and pray for you and your husband. Try to take care of yourself too.

I’ve been away for a few days from CAF…Joe has really had a bad week since my last post. He had his chemo last Friday and ended up in the hospital 2 days this week. They did a cT scan that showed the tumor was larger after the cyberknife treatment rather than smaller. I talked to the CK doctor and she said not to worry …could have been the angle, etc…and that PET scans are more informative than the CT scan. He is on his way to chemo in a few minutes. Last month when Joe went to Philly his son drove him back (he is the one I did not want in the house because of a drug problem)…now we have found several (about 20) of his oxycontin (Joe’s pain pills) missing…and he wont be able to get it refilled this soon…What a mess. Please keep Joe in your prayers…Praise God that I finally got a job offer which is 6 miles from home so i can get home at lunch if need be…From a financial standpoint i MUST work but from my heart, I’d rather be here for Joe…(But Joe says to not worry and start the job…he has always been the strong one)…Please keep him in your prayers that his chemo today won’t be as bad as it was last week. He has 5 more weekly chemo treatments after today…and my mind is just wandering in so many different directions about what to do, not do, etc. GOD BLESS YOU ALL for your prayers. Even though I haven’t been on the CAF I pray for all of you each day and a candle is lit for you at Mass…Your sister in Christ, Diane

Lord Father of Love and Mercy, be their light, be their answer, be their peace, be their joy, be their strength.

Joe is doing so much better and I thank you all for your continued prayers. He went for chemo on Friday but they couldn’t give it to him due to the white cell count so he got a shot instead. Praise God that Joe has had more energy over the weekend and his appetite is returning. He even hung up a drapery rod yesterday and went shopping for groceries with me. Thank you God!!! and Thank you all from the depths of my heart for your prayers. I just know God is working through you and touching Joe…The battle with cancer is so fierce and not yet won but things are looking up.
:grouphug: A big Hug for each of you…

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

These intentions will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Diane, I will be praying for you that you will continue to find strength and courage and I will pray for your husband that God will heal him.
