Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow your healing hand to heal dret. Touch his soul with Your compassion for others. Touch his heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch his mind with Your wisdom, that his mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Teach him to reach out to You in his need, and help him to lead others to You by his example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring him health in body and spirit that he may serve You with all his strength. Touch gently that life which You have created, now and forever.

Amen.

Dear All - Thank you for your prayers.

Yesterday I was very, VERY low. I burst into tears several times and had to leave grand jury duty early. I stopped by my parish on the way home to pray the rosary, and ran into my pastor, but unfortunately could not speak with him because he was meeting with an architect and I couldn’t explain myself in front of a stranger.

I got home and chatted with my sister and a good friend. They pointed out that my vitamins and so forth were REALLY low from not eating properly and from my body trying to repair itself, and I was being a fool not to take it easy, take my prescription medication, and relax. So I did, and I went to bed early, took my oxycodone, and listened to my podcasts from EWTN and Catholic Answers. I took the day off today to try and get back together and rest. I am doing much better this evening and yes, I will take my medication and go to bed early and listen to my podcasts.

It has been a month and a half of a lot of set-backs for me, professional, medical, and financial, but thank you Good Lord for family, friends, and for kind people like the readers on this posting, who have prayed for me so generously!!! Please hear their prayers and petitions as I remember them to you, lowly little person that I am, as my thanks is sincerely meant.

Thanks so much Grandma Glor, please know I am remembering you and your needs as well.

How very lucky we all are to be part of a community of faith! Knowing that other people, even if there is nothing directly physical that they can do for you, are of their own charity remembering you and your needs to Our Lord, is a great comfort and blessing.

Today was about even. Not great, not awful, though by the end of the day I was feeling really low and beat down about life. But then I was also pretty dehydrated and hungry, and I hardly slept last night so that may have had something to do with it also. Hopefully tonight I will finally get to sleep more than a couple of hours!

Thanks to all of you and God bless!

Hang in there Dret; the Lord is not done with you yet! 😉 ***
You will be in my prayers.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Gail, thanks so much!

I am just back from the oral surgeon and he says everything has gone really well. I need to keep doing my antibiotic rinse for the next two weeks so I don’t get any infections, and keep to a semi-soft diet, but other than that all is well, thank goodness!

This series of illnesses and expenses over the last month has really knocked me sideways and made me realise how much I need to get a new job. Please do keep me in your prayers if you can, that God will give me the strength and resolve to find a good, new job, so that I can continue on the path He wants me to be on. I really do not want to be a burden to my family or to society, and want to be able to help others out as well.

**You are very welcome Dret, and **am happy to hear things are going well! 🙂

I sure can relate, as I have been ill and recovering the past 17 months!
My last job was a factor in my health as well, and so I will surely keep you in my prayers as you discern the path the Lord has marked out for you.

I am blessed with a wonderful husband, and thankfully I do not need to go to work (we are hoping to retire in 5 years), but we could use prayers as well, as the job market is not secure and his age is a factor.

Together we will trust in our Merciful Lord!
👍

Gail I have been remembering you and your intentions ever since things started to go wrong for me six weeks ago, so don’t worry!

One thing I have realized, as I sat around feeling miserable for myself, about the financial burden I had from all of my medical treatment, the pain, etc. was how very blessed I am. A friend of mine a couple of days ago was just diagnosed with a degenerative neurological condition and is a young man. It is hoped that they can keep this under control, and that he can lead a normal life, but one never knows - and he just got laid off. So you just have to reach out to people and realise, we are never promised that everything will be swell in this life, just that we will not be given more than we can handle, and we must never be so proud as to think that we do not need to ask for help. It is good to receive the charity of others, not just to give charity. It helps with our humility.

Hi Dret!

Receiving spiritual ‘lights’ and graces are the greatest blessings in sufferings…when united to the Passion of Christ!
It sounds like you have grown on your life/spiritual journey; praise God!

Thanks so much for your prayers! 😉
May God continue to bless you +

*I will pray for your friend as well!

Thank you both! Now that my health is starting to get better, God willing I will have the courage to step out in faith and find the path I am supposed to be on professionally and personally.

I thank God that your health is improving, and ask Him to send His Spirit to guide your choices and to give you the courage and gifts to do so.

Thanks so much Trishie! I am remembering you in my prayers.

It has been a really overwhelming month and a half of physical and emotional pain, significant financial loss, etc. But God clearly needed to get my attention and to shake me out of my complacency and lukewarmness. I am not where I ought to be professionally, emotionally, and most of all spiritually, and He is trying to set me on the right course to come aright. He definitely got my attention!
