Please pray for me, I don’t feel well. My mother died about 6 weeks ago. I have no siblings I became detached from /lost contact with all friends, career and educational pursuits while caring for her during 6 years illness. My grandmother died 4 years ago (I was only grandchild.) I suffer from depression/ generalized anxiety disorder which predates all this.
thank you

You’re not alone. You’re in our prayers.

You are the doctor. I am the patient. You are the giver of mercy. I am in great need of it. - St. Augustine

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

“The righteous cry, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
Psalms 34:17

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Psalms 147:3

“Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
Isaiah 40:31

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you."
Isaiah 43:2

“So the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Isaiah 51:11

“To grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
Isaiah 61:3

…that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart."
Luke 18:1

Praying for you. God bless you.

God bless you for the charity you’ve shown in caring for your mother … He will reward you! 🙂 And I will pray as well for the souls of your mother and grandmother.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us celebrate Christ’s goodness and wisdom. We can see him in every one of our brethren, and love him; especially in those who are suffering. Let us pray to him urgently:
  • Lord, make us perfect in love.
This morning we honour your resurrection once more,
and wish for everyone the effects of your Redemption.
Lord, grant that we may bear witness to you today
and through you offer a holy sacrifice acceptable to the Father.
Make us see your image in everyone we meet,
and serve you by tending to their needs.
Christ, you are the true vine and we are your branches:
grant that we may remain with you, bearing abundant fruit and giving glory to God the Father.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

May our mouths praise you, O Lord. May our souls and our lives give you praise.
It is by your gift that we have life:
may the whole act of living be our gift to you.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

praying

Our Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father
And to the Son
And to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning,
Is now,
And ever shall be,
World without end.

Amen
:amen;

What a beautiful sacrifice you made for your mother. You have the heart of a Christian. Fear not, you are never alone. Our Lord is always with you. He is with you right now. It is He who we need to depend on and put our efforts in. People will always let you down, but our Lord never will. Make Psalm 27 your daily prayer and tell our Lord what it is you seek. Doors will open!

Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me! You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord do I seek.” Hide not your face from me!

Praying for you…

Dearest Jesus Your dear one has sacrificed much, including friends and education to care for ill grandmother and then chronically ill mother until her death after much suffering and anxiety…please now help this dear person to begin anew. Jesus by Your words I know that in sacrificing and caring for these only remaining family members until their deaths it was You who was the true recipient of all this unselfish love.

Come, Jesus please bring others’ caring and kindness into this person’s life. Please help this dear person to overcome the anxiety and chronic stress and find a path to new life and happiness. Please provide a source of education and employment that gives satisfaction and helps to create a network of good friends.

Jesus I commend this true child of Your gospel to Your attentive care. This person has proved a true child of the kingdom. Please embrace JLD for us. With love, Trishie
