The loneliness and isolation I feel from everyone, from God, and from myself are becoming too much to bear. There’s so little love in my heart. It’s all anger, and sadness, and despair, and greed.

Please, I’m asking for your prayers. The past month has felt like an eternity in Gesthemane.
 
I am sorry you feel that because I felt that way a few months ago after my grandmother died and a whole bunch of other stuff happened. Please don’t go into too deep of despair, it’s not fun trust me. I am indeed praying for you because I know how it feels to be so alone. Remember that you’re not alone.
 
I just said an Our Father for you.

Remember Mother Theresa? She experienced the same thing. The feeling of the absence of God. Do not dispair. He is very very close to you.
 
We’ve all been there. These hard times always lead us into a deeper relationship with our Lord.

I’m so sorry that you are going through this. 😦 May God grant you comfort and peace. :console: You are very close to Jesus. He loves you very much even if you cannot feel it right now. :yup: You are loving Him much by suffering through this for Him. We cannot understand why He gives some such a heavy cross. We do know that sometimes He chastises those He loves the most. Jesus Himself went through great agony, and feelings of total abandonment by God the Father. He did all this out of love for us and the salvation of our souls. Maybe you are helping someone who needs love even more by enduring this pain and loneliness. Maybe someone who doesn’t even know God exists.

I second the poster who suggested the writings of Mother Theresa. She suffered great trials of faith and abandonment. I will be thinking of you. Peace and Love be yours. :gopray:
 
I ask the Lord to help you grow in hope, trust, in His love for you. I ask Him to help you grow in personal warmth that comes from valuing yourself at your true worth as child of God, and from genuinely valuing others…thus also drawing people to you. I ask the Lord to help you live the St Francis prayer in your life.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
 
I’ll pray for you - remember - you are not alone. You are surrounded by the full church and Christ himself is standing right next to you, your despair is just blinding you to it right now. :gopray: :gopray2:

Please break through the darkness and touch Epistemes’ heart, if only for a moment, so that he can feel your loving presence and know that he is not alone.

Thank you all for your prayers.

I woke up this morning feeling as if I’ve wasted so much of my life drowning in loneliness and isolation and self-pity, not being able to enjoy every moment that I’m alive. I myself pray that I can start allowing God to be God.
